Xbox One controller.

Pretty much any part where you have to dodge stuff. I don't think I've gotten farther than the saw things.

What's the issue exactly? Dodge is extremely forgiving in this game, it cost nothing and you could literally just spam it over and over and it'll do its job.

I don't know, I just seem to end up dying one way or another. It's different every time. I'm not good at 3d games in general, though. Maybe I should just watch a let's play.

I just can't get past those 2 arms. Sometimes I fail earlier.

you can lock on with L2 and keep R1 pressed to do passive bullet damage
spam R2 when you see arms or any attack coming close or a second or 2 after eyes flash red
after trying for a bit youll get hang of it

or use auto chips from skills menu which makes all fight auto pilot but can only be used on easy mode

Whatever you do, don't do this...this game heavily relies on player experience to tell its story, and it ties gameplay and story as one, so watching a let's play you will literally not understand the story, not to mention how most if not all let's play skip a lot of sidequests, and side quests contain a lot of the lore, worldbuilding, and info that will make the main plot easier to follow.
What you could do if you still fail is watch a let's play of the prologue and then play it yourself imitating it, to know where to stay when the 2 big saw arms attack etc.

I feel bad for you. What will you do against the spongy bosses that appear later in the game? Those fights will have you dodging and swinging for almost 20 minutes at a stretch unless you're overlevelled.

Eh, I just gave up on it. I still haven't cleared it. Certainly not the first game where I called it quits during the tutorial.

Keelah, how can you die on easy during tutorial? Dodge invincibility window is insane, you can just pretty much spam it during enemies' attacks

20 minutes is hella overkill. Several minutes tops, unless you're several times lower on level than the boss

Kinda agree refund the game the control on keyboard/mouse is awful. Sometimes you control camera sometimes you don't. I'm not use to nervous game fight like this and do the whole tutorial just to die to those saw bored me. Too bad artistic direction was really cool.
