Not really. That changing core affinity can "fix" the game has been known for months. I even forgot when I added it to my tweak guide. Probably a month and a half ago. It, however, showcases the same issues with most other "fixes": it "works" for some and usually only for a short while.
The challenge in following all of these "fixes" being reported everywhere is filtering out the unrelated noise as well as the placebo effects that players mistakenly attribute to their actions. There's a reason why my tweak guide makes it clear that there currently isn't any solutions but only various ways of mitigating the issue.
One of the causes of this is actually that we can't effectively reproduce the error at will. So testing and verifying the result of an action taken is pretty much impossible right now, because it's entirely possible that the game would've worked just fine that one time even without the action being taken.
Thanks Aemony (I forgot to thank you for your tweak guide, it's awesome). It's a pain that this issue can't be reproduced at will. I get the white screen mostly after 1 or 2 hours of continous play, but yesterday I got it almost inmediately. Ugh, I hate it.
Yes.
Pfff, oh, you're hilarious. The HT/CPU affinity thing was known about a month and a half ago, and have been included in my tweak guide since then. It was mentioned by a legitimate user here on Steam in one of the many threads on the topic.
I'm sorry, it turns out I was wrong. It was only a month and 5 days ago.

But damn, those pirates really held off on releasing the game! Having it for almost a whole month before releasing it online? The nerve of those people! /s
Edit: The quote link is screwed up, so here's a direct link to the quoted comment.
Edit 2:
I just noticed that I myself can be argued to be the "original" founder of the CPU Affinity "technique" since the guy I replied to disabled HT outright while I mentioned the CPU affinity part! Worship me!
I'd like to know if i should just do the Affinity thing everytime i launch the game or is it worth turning off the whole hyper threading just for this game.
HT permanently disables every second "core" of your CPU for all applications. So that CPU affinity stuff you do every time? It does that for all applications, including Windows.
Thank you.
i'm sorry but you're not correct there. I got a lot of crashing from this game. until i did this solution. It's pretty real to me.
also this "pirate solution" talks was mention in earlier replies and it's already been explained.
