Nope. The game have no file protection at all on the content files, which is how the DS4 input mod is possible. Not to mention that texture mods already exists for the game.

i could understand if i was trying to make everyone in this thread rage at me but i'm asking a legitimate question
The game files are packaged using CriWare's CPK archive format, which can be extracted by using wmltogether's fork of CriPakTools[github.com]. The actual files within those archives are DAT and DTT container files as is typical with Platinum's other games. These can be extracted using Wunkolo's DAT file dumper[gist.github.com], which also includes this tidbit of info on the DTT containers:
That said, if you just want to change textures then it's far easier to use the community mod FAR to both dump the original textures and inject custom textures (regular .dds files) in place of the original textures. It does this on the fly and you don't actually have to fiddle with extracting the files from the CPK files.
However what the DS4 button prompt shows us[i.imgur.com] is that the game seems to prioritize DTT files stored in a matching folder structure in the data folder of the game. That's why that mod only requires the user to extract the DTT files it includes in the NieRAutomata\data\ui folder, since the game then automatically uses those files instead of the ones that exists in the CPK archives.
So mods that actually change more than the textures (for example the models etc) might be possible just by extracting a DTT file with the appropriate file name in an appropriate subfolder under the data folder of the game. An extremely convenient override, all things considered, that doesn't actually touch the original game files at all.
Unlocked in route C.
Oh, then you'll definitely want to join this group as well:

There is definitely some classic Japanese perversion and sexualization at times, but its not shoved down your throat like it is in some games. Sex is a topic that does come up as one of the game's core themes is exploring what makes someone or something human. So sex and sexuality are explored in that sense.
EDIT
Disclaimer: This is from my playing the console version of the game, though I imagine the PC version is identical.
