Nier Saving does not work

Hey guys,

I bought Nier:Automata a few days a go and i really like it so far. But i have this problem that the game wont let me save...
Yes, I played through the tutorial and tried to save manually in the menu and i also tried to reinstall it.
While trying to reinstall it i encountered another problem: I can not delete all files (it says i need admin rights; i tried starting steam as admin... didnt work) and when i want to reinstall it i get a message saying that i dont have the datarights...
I really would love to pla the game again and hope somebody can help me hear because i really dont know what i should try or do in order to fix this problem...

Ohhh and btw i installed it in another folder where i just had the same problem. But this time i didnt uninstall the game just in case...

You need to activate ''Checkpoints'' ... those android boxes, and only then you can either save at those Checkpoints or within area of those Checkpoints.

Please confirm that you don't use OneDrive or if you do, it isn't configured to save documents on OneDrive. It should be set to This PC Only.

If that's not applicable then you basically must take ownership of the game folders (NOT the rest of Steam's folders!!) and give yourself Full Control.

I am currently mobile, so can't link, but a google search should point you to how to do so.

Oh right, this is true as well. However in the Bunker saving through the pause menu is always available.
