Quest "Photographs" bugged?

Hey guys,
maybe somebody can help me out. I can`t finish the "Photographs" Quest. I got all locations and now after talking to the Resistance Member I just keep handing her the Desert Photo forever. Every time I talk to her I`m just giving her the Desert Photo. Anybody had that problem with this quest? Maybe it is because FAR?

The only thing in FAR that might interfere is the uncapped FPS feature that's disabled by default. Beyond that FAR doesn't use anything that affects progression and scripting in the game in any major way.

Yeah, had that problem with the uncapped FPS and disabled it again after the flight units didn't appear during the fight against the 2 goliaths in the city ruins.

So if that isn't the problem - what could it be?

I haven't the foggiest idea, honestly. You might want to continue the main story to see if it's a progression issue, as there still seems to be a few of those in the game.

Okay, after I finished off that giant thing with his EMP ♥♥♥♥ the woman disappeared from the resistance camp. I killed the guy in Copied City, but she still isn't back. The quest isn't active either. There is now a [X] beside the quest name in "All Quests". What does that mean? Did I fail the quest? Kinda seems unfair, because I did everything right.

You've reached a point where the game has blocked off the completion, just keep playing and you will be able to finish it later on.

Thanks, that's nice to know :) Hope that it will work after the quest gets available again

the.jester probably talks about the Chapter selection that unlocks after getting ending C or D, you can go back and complete sidequests that way.

Just started playing with 9S some while ago. Is this the so-called Route B? Or do I have to start a complete new save file for that route?

Okay, finally got a solution for that problem. So the problem was that the desert photo still was listed in my item list after I gave it to her and I could't get rid of it, so I kept giving it her again and again. I reinstalled the whole game and after that everything was going just fine. Case closed. Thanks everyone :)

No, that's Route B. You never actually have to create a new save file for any routes, simply clicking "Continue" in the main menu after completing one route will bring you to the next one.

Side quests are shared inbetween routes, though some side quests can only be completed in various chapters of the game. If you ever go past a point where a certain side quest is unavailable you can use Chapter Select after having achieved ending C or D to "go back" to that chapter and complete the side quest.

Okay, then it was probably due to corrupt game files or something. Happy to hear that you managed to solve it.

If anyone else runs into this bug, you can get past it using a Cheat Engine table with inventory editing. You will need to do this:

1. Talk to quest giver and discuss the desert photo
   
2. Use inventory editor to remove desert photo from inventory
   
3. Talk to quest giver and discuss amusement park photo
   
4. Use inventory editor to remove amusement park photo from inventory
   
5. Talk to quest giver and discuss amusement forest photo
   
6. The quest should complete normally

Allright guys, this reply is not clear what to do so I figured out by myself.
First, download the editor from here: https://github.com/MysteryDash/NieR.Automata.Editor/releases
Second, open it with Administrator Privileges and load your save data. (File -> Load -> SlotData_0.dat (or 1-2-3)
Third, open Inventory tab and find "Desert Photo". You can't actually make it 0 so, click "Desert Photo" name and make it Amber, it doesn't effect anything belive me.
Fourth, File -> Save. Open the save file from game and give the mission. You'll see you can give Amusement Park photo but it will be bugged too so you have to make it for Amusement Park Photo too. After that you will give Forest Photo and finally you can finish the quest.
