Horizontal weird black lines in the screen
It's kinda hard to see them in a screenshot, but you can clearly spot them while playing, but if you pay attention the screenshot you can see some horizontal black lines in the whole screen, but mostly in the bottom part, like a filter or something, is that normal?

If you're using FAR, open the config menu (Ctrl+Shift+Backspace) and click on "Native Resolution" besides Ambient Occlusion and Bloom. Do this even if the option is already selected, as this will update the resolution values in FAR.ini to the current resolution of the game. Then restart the game and see if they're still there.

I can see them in your screenshot, but I'm unable to see them when playing on this machine. Might be a quirk of configuration, might be my eyes.

Not related to that problem, but the corners of the screen being darker, is normal?

I believe so yes, as I have always had those darker corners myself as well. But it's possible that it's an artifact of running the game at another resolution than 1600x900, which is the only resolution the game "actually" targets.

For example, the loading screen is infamously shown incorrectly at all other resolutions than 1600x900:

1600x900: https://gamerescape.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Review-Nier-Automata-Loading.png (ignore the fact that the image itself is 1920x1080, it have most likely been upscaled post-capture)

Holy smoke I had this bug and didn't notice until now!
After reading this post, I launched the game to check and yes I did have black lines. They are visible enough if I pay attention.

Why do I have this bug? Simple, I'm using a custom resolution of 1300p through AMD VSR. I know it sounds weird but 1300p is the sweet spot for me to play NieR:Automata. It's the highest res I can play with a locked 60fps and minimum input lag.

Once again, Aemony gave me hints to how to fix this. I tried others VSR res available.
1300p: thick black lines, barely visible
1440p: no black lines!
1800p: no black lines
1080p: no black lines ofc, it's my native res.
900p: no black lines
720p: thin black lines, visible

So I tried to fix this by lowering my custom resolution by 1 pixel.
1299p to 1298p: black lines
1297p to 1296p: black lines but much less noticeable.
1295p: almost not noticeable at all
1294p: I can't see anything!

Thank you aKu for mentioning this. Now I'm playing at 2296x1294 with a cleaner image.
