Do owners of the classic version and DLC get the GOTY edition free?

Didn't work for me. I just got the DLC and never owned it before. Did not get upgraded/get the GOTY bonus items.

The GOTY and the "classic" version are exactly the same game, no patch. There is no inferior/superior difference between the two. This 'update' is just renaming the game and including the DLC at a reduced price. The game is identical. You're missing nothing.

It also begs the question "What was the point?" in bundling this into a renamed edition when nothing has changed at all.

The only difference is they're now including the pre-order/day one DLC with the Yorha Edition.

People who owned the game and it's DLC before the Yorha edition, but didn't have the pre-order DLC, don't have a way to get the pre-order DLC.

The GotY edition includes the bonus content from the Day-One Edition (Grimoire Weiss pod skin, Valve mask and some other stuff), whereas the "standard" edition with "standard" DLC doesn't. If one version offers more content, no matter how minor, it is objectively superior to the other.

It's not about how important this content is. It's about the disrespect that Square is showing towards it's previous customers, especially after they completely ignored all the issues with the PC version of the game.

If I'm not mistaken, the items should be available under "Key Items" in your inventory.

Installing it would help, reticking the squares could fix it, or perhaps verifying game data

Unfortunately, any DLC not included in the season pass is solely available for the Game of the YorHa edition and will require you to purchase that version of the game. We apologize for the inconvenience.

So, basically they expect us to buy the game again. Well, not only am I not buying THIS game again, I'm not buying ANY game from Square ever again.

Had much the same issue, I'd never bought the DLC so hearing that doing so was supposed to upgrade to GOTY I got that... buuut I can see no sign of the GOTY content ANYWHERE.
