Wait, the game has almost been out for a year now and they still havnt patched the game yet? Its nice someone took the time to fix it, but they charge full retail price ($60) and they havnt took the time to fix these problems?
Does anyone here without using far mod can confirm this?
Well that sucks, since the game looks pretty decent. Oh well, saves me $60 bucks though.
The FAR mod is extremely easy to install... in my opinion you're missing out.
I refuse to play with mods. Always have, always will.
Consider it as an "open source bug fix" :-)
It doesn't alter gameplay, it mostly fixes the display modes. I played most of the game without it and once I had it installed I regretted not having done that earlier so that I could enable SLI and play at 3440x1440...
(and source code is indeed available for the FAR mode!!)
Just download the game like normal and run it once. Then download FAR and click install. The installer does literally all the work from then on. That's it.
Nothing is changed in-game except for an improvement in performance and resolution fixes.
I didn't have any issues with the game when playing through it, not saying there aren't any, just that I had a perfect experience on pc
I can, actually.
Before using FAR my fps was dropping pretty badly. Constant stuttering, it just wasn't enjoyable.
After using FAR, my fps drops became less of an issue. I turned down the one setting that can't be changed in the game's settings (Global Illumination Quality). And, overall. My experience was amazing.
FAR is 100% worth using and doesn't alter the gameplay one bit.
