Report a translation problem
I think this is the problem. I need to reinstall Windows 10 or 7 once again. Thank you!
:(. Make sure you back up everything you need, you are probably going to need a complete reinstall here :-/
Yeah, that's 32-bit Windows alright. The correct install folder on 64-bit Windows is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam.
At least you're sorta in the luck that Steam didn't download the full game for you...
Unfortunately my Win 7 product key cannot be activated for some reason. I'm going to buy a Win 10 x64 license now. It can take some time.
It sounds plausible that the game is not for 32 bit. Steam should have better error messages.
It's honestly baffling that they don't. Obviously they very clearly detected that the game was for an architecture your OS did not support, as evidenced by the small download size, so all that's left is to >tell you< about it.
At times Valve looks ridiculously incompetent. This is one of those times.
Meanwhile, I want to confirm that I installed x64 version of Windows 10 and the download works.
I hope this helps some people who have a similar problem.
