Controller Problems
Hello, I am currently using a USB Joystick which works perfectly fine with all other games except NieR: Automata. What I mean is that the Vertical Aiming is not working! While the Horizontal is perfectly fine! When i go into the Controller's Settings it in fact shows that it's working like it should but in-game it just dies. What should i do?

Which joystick (control pad?) do you use? Does it use Xinput or Direct Input? NieR:Automata requires a Xinput device and especially older input devices use Direct Input. If your input device uses Direct Input, look for x360ce on github. This is a small tool that translates Direct Input to Xinput which helped me to use my trusty old Logitech Dual Action gamepad from 2002.

Did this but still not working although the controller works just fine in the x360ce menu

Are you using FAR? If so, try to temporarily disable FAR by renaming dinput8.dll to something else, and see if that fixes it. FAR might not play nice with third-party tools.

A general recommendation while using FAR is to use Steam’s built-in generic controller support wrapper, instead of x360ce or another alternative.
