I read up on the "no save" aspect of the game, and turned the game on to easy. Took me about 40 minutes.
I did die the first time on normal, right before i meet 9S..

Yeah... it's a lot easier and faster to just smash it with your sword and gun and the laser cannon. It can barely hit you if you use your dashes/evades.
crash once with the plane to get ending W
you can switch difficulty any time you need in game as long you not in combat and you can not change settings while on the plane, but you can change settings befor you start and load that save slot!
Difficulties explained:
easy mode has auto fire and no deaths (good for funds and exp and chips and learning the game)
normal you can die and no auto combat +you can target lock on.
hard you can die and no auto combat.+ you can not lock on target
very hard you can die and no auto combat.+ you can not lock on target and you get one hit killed
hardest is playing with only OS chip what in some situation is close to nightmare and close to impossible.
it takes 1200000+ exp to reach level 99 after that it stays at it. can be reached at ending A the exp and level and all stays for the whole save as long the save is not deleted!
very hard is use full for level 99 when you online network play and want to create body for extra upload and items and follower
btw dieing is a function of the game what allows you get exp, items and game endings!
simpler said even failing counts towards game progression!
some game choice require you at least 2 save slots that start New Game for ending A, to get the diffrent sub quest so its at least 52 endings you need to do that way!
some choice alter aviable sub quests thats why you need at least 2 diffrent saves!
choice at sub quest at ending A stay in that save thats why you need 2 diffrent save slots
for 3ed save slot not sure if both save slots with total 52 ending in save slots done will alter the New game and so the 3ed save slot I need still to test this!
ps DLC ending not included in that calculation.
the diffrent in the sub quests choice is:
1 is more towards 9S and the other is more towards 2B as far as i seen.
