Lore question about the pod
You can get 3 types of pods, A B C. But they are all called pode 42 and have the same male voice. Are those 3 controlled by the same pod-AI or something?

Yes. I just say the types as different "bodies" for the same pod AI, like how the various YoRHa bodies are different "bodies" for the same YoRHa unit.

Presumably each Pod-AI is assigned to a specific YoRHa Unit, like 042 is assigned to 2B and 153 is for 9S, and any Pod-Units controlled by that YoRHa Unit have the same AI. 2B just happens to find additional pods that other people lost and then links them to her data. Thus Pod 042's data is probably added as well.

Eh, technically they AREN'T the same YoRHa unit, they are just the same model of the unit. 2 Androids of the same Model (For instance, 2 different 2B androids) can be completely different individuals. What makes a YoRHa unit be transferrable is their personal data and memory information. IF those transfer the unit is the same. Otherwise they can be completely different.

That explanation does work though.

It was made mostly in regards to the game from the perspective of the player, and how when you die you get a new "body" and can retrieve your old "body" and its items. Basically transfer between them. It wasn't really made to be lore-accurate to the minuscule of details :P

In that case yeah that explanation does work.

2B has pod overwrite the IDs so presumably when a pod has the same ID they have the same AI.
