Unlock the DLC costumes with Cheat Engine?
Heya guys,

is there a way to unlock the DLC costumes without solving the arenas such as a cheat engine table?

It's possible for Rise of the Tomb Raider so i thought there is the possibility to do this for Nier:A aswell.

I'd like to use the costumes in my first playthrough

Yea there is a way. I remember seeing a video on YouTube explaining how to do it. Don't have a link but I'm sure u could easily find it if u searched "nier automata dlc costumes cheat engine" or something like that. The process involves replacing items in ur inventory with the dlc items

If you own the DLC then it's easily doable even with premade cheat tables, you just need to swap item IDs of one item you own with ItemID of item you want.

I do own the DLC, do you have a link to a working table?
That's actually a really neat Idea, especially for A2's part.

Open Cheat Engine, select NieR:Automata and then click on "Add Address Manually"
A window will open, inside the address text box paste this: NieRAutomata.exe+1984354
Select the type: "4 Bytes" and hit "OK".

Set the address value to 1 and then right click on it and press "Toggle Selected Records".
This will freeze the address value to 1 since the game tends to rest values.

After you are done, transport from one place to another and it will update the outfit to the DLC one if you own the DLC of course otherwise it will just show 2B's head.

Or, just blaze through the main quests, unlock chapter select, grind level to 80 or higher to get costumes, then play it from the first chapter to solve all the other side-quests.

This doesn't work at all, the address value stays as "??" and any manipulations are met with the windows error noise and no changes

quickest way i found to get any item using CE in 2 steps:

1. search for the number 997 but before that: under Memory Scan Options set Start=NieRAutomata.exe+148C4C4
2. select the first result and change its value to the id of an item that you want (example: 983 revealing outfit or 871 blindfold)

871:Camouflage Goggles
872:A2 Wig
981:Heavy Armor A
982:Heavy Armor B
983:Revealing Outfit
984:Young Man's Outfit
985:Destroyer Outfit
997:Valve Left Eye
998:Valve Right Eye
999:Valve Both Eyes

extra info: the above steps replace the "Valve Left Eye" item with whatever item you chose but the game always immediately adds the Valve items back to your inventory (just close and reopen your inventory) so you can "replace" that same item as many times as you want
