I miss some tracks in the soundtrack though... Primarily Birth Of A Wish (This Cannot Continue), Possessed By A Disease (Become As Gods) and A Beautiful Voice (Vocals). I guess that's why I retain my 90+ track album together with the actual official soundtrack of the game.
Edit: Oh, Emil Sacrifice is also hauntingly beautiful. It is a slow rendition of the Emil (Despair) track that the official OST includes.
It's so foreboding, and when it kicks in early in Route C, it just perfectly conveys how wrong things are about to get.
It's more subdued than a lot of the other music, but it works so well. I'll never forget the haunting climb up the tower, and so much of that atmosphere comes from this track playing in the background.
Emil—Sacrifice is the song from the original NieR (there are actually 2 arrangements, but Sacrifice is by far the superior and the best piece of music from the game).
Despair and Emil's Shop themes are simply rearranged versions (same as Grandma, Dark Colossus, etc.).
Kaine's salvation
Emil's sacrifice
copied city
all versions of weight of the world
bipolar nightmare
all versions of vague hope
the tower
sound of the end
No ? I was just curious. lmfao.
"The rainbow is beautiful because it's composed of multiple colours."
"Bigger than the sum of its parts."
This.
Glory for mankind!
Also some songs are barely songs, like Sound of Depression.
Most battle music is awesome, through since the factory level began to become annoying because I died a LOT there. "become as gods become as gods becomes as gods AAAAARGH explodes again by suicide bot"
As I recall there are no suicide bots when "become as gods" stuff happens. Only when (and if) you return there on route C. And yeah, it's insanely annoying. Running through dark abandoned factory with quiet and calm background music...then BOOM! Hello load game screen.
