The very first lines that 2B says in the game.
"...a neverending cycle of life and death."

Your God, not mine. I rate 0/10 for the effort, wall of text, no punctuation and grammar errors.

Become as Gods!!!! *Explodes*

2B's quote is even better when you have read the concert script on the origin of YoRHa.

Everything that lives is designed to end. We are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. Is this a curse? Or some kind of punishment? I often think about the god who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle...and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him.
—2B, at the beginning of the game

YoRHa units are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. The "god" who blessed them with that existence is "The Council of Humanity" on the moon. "The Council of Humanity" on the moon and the whole YoRHa project was actually created by No. 9, who 9S is most likely a "descendent" of. Meanwhile 2B, and A2 for that matter as well, are most likely a "descendent" of No. 2.

Ergo, 2B's whole tormented existence (the never-ending spiral of killing and resetting 9S, who she loves, over and over again) is also about killing the descendent of the creator of YoRHa's "god."

well i am sure you think you know better. and get some pleasure from your negative belittling of others.
so because its not your belief you think its ok to slander god. i am not looking for points. like you are.
You still read it didnt you..

Many people think "they have to be better than others" rather than "they have to better themselves". What they miss in all this is that to better oneself, one has to help others be better.

Many people instead of being better seek weaker people so they can continue to escape from self improvement. Its like watching the seedy reality shows and saying to oneself "at least I am not that bad"

The simple truth they don't understand is that Strong people do not put others down. They lift others up.

Thankyou for your explanation.

I rate 1/10, better punctuation this time. It's always funny when a troll barge into a video game forum of a game he doesn't own and rambling about religion.

Become AS GODS!!!! Kami ni naru.

why is that stupid comment. 2d does not mention which god she wants to kill just that she wants to kill god. her maker would be human. not a god 2b is an andriod and has no soul. my argument. you're very negative.
seems you accept its perfectly ok to talk of killing god. i dont think i will be the one who goes to hell as i have jesus in my heart and love.
i think god can look past paragraphs its a shame you can not. should i not have a view becasue i dont put paragraphs in my message. you dont like what i have to say so you choose to be little me in some way, shame for you.

I've obviously read your ramble because I responded and pointed out things you mindlessly linked to this game (or any games for that matter) to what's happening in real world. So welldone again for jumping to conclusion yet again.

And like I said, Japanese have very different notion of god (as did the Nordics, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians) to Western Christianity so them saying I want to kill/challenge god carries very different meaning to when a Christian says I want to kill God.

Just to show you how dumb your point is, when Jews killed Jesus, what games were they playing? When governments conspired against people back in 60s and 70s, what games were they playing? When Hitler and Stalin killed 100million people, what games were they playing? These things happened in human history before video games were invented so somehow coming to conclusion that video games contribute to this is in modern society utterly stupid. It has happened and would've happened with or without video games.

Plus, they are robots, machines, you expect ANDROID to have same notion of god as humans...?

If you are so worried about the governments doing shifty things, don't losely link your opinion to a game, become a politician, become a president and fix it. Don't be like a typical liberal moron that protests against government but never bothered to vote, or protest against corporations and capitalism while using iphones and wearing Nike uploading said protest video to youtube.

Pointing out stupid argument as stupid is not belittling.

Just sit in some cold room below freezing temperature somewhere, otherwise you might just melt away - this be belittling.

Kami ni naru is what Yoko Taro thinks of religions in general. So join us in BECOMING AS GODS.

I wonder how much would an softcore pr0n anime like Sin Nanatsu no Taizai would offend you. Lucifer is pretty waifu as are the rests of the Sin. Michael is hot but acts like a beetch so far.

Yawn.
Trotskiii3 Aug 18, 2017 @ 12:39pm
at no time should you mock god. that means in real life or IN A VIDEO GAME.
It is not stupid. satanist. repent devil and be saved.

“This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.”
Trotskiii3 Aug 18, 2017 @ 12:46pm
And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

I always thought the true god 2B is talking about is the machines...

1- Without machines to fight androids would be essentially immortal as they just replace parts. So no cycle.
2- The machine network creates Adam (most obvious clue...)
3- The god can be killed and it is in A2 ending.
Aemony Aug 18, 2017 @ 1:53pm
2B was speaking metaphorically, but even if she weren't the closest thing to "God" she can mean is the Council of Humanity server on the moon, which No. 9 set up in to create the whole cycle of Project YoRHa to begin with, to give YoRHa androids a purpose and a God to die for, for all eternity.

It is that server you fight against in ending E. The pods come together to finally shut down the server and the orders coming out from it.
Exarch_Alpha Aug 18, 2017 @ 5:29pm
Not convinced. The cycle of death began when machines arrived, which as you know... was thousands of years before.
Aemony Aug 18, 2017 @ 5:49pm
Not that cycle of death. Regular androids do not survive when they die in the way YoRHa units does.
