As 2B, I had the Dragoon lance and Lance Type 40 spears/lances equipped, ran off the building and double jumped, used the pod throw immediately after that (it worked after the double jumps suddenly), dashed and then used a few spear attacks with X (Square) and finally made it!
Hopefully, this will help more people.
And hopefully, this will work on my 9S playthrough as well.
Yeah, basically there's any number of solutions for that chest (unlike the factory one, now that one is infamous).

This one? I had honestly forgotten about that one. Dunno if I ever managed to obtain it or not.
Usually, the notation '+' when referring to controls/actions in a videogame means you do them at the same time. So they are identical.
Most games give you a fair amount of time to do them. fire jump probably works more often because if your character starts the jump it can't do the pod throw. However it isn't intended to be triggered by jumping then firing.
