some 2B discussion (SPOILERS)

Now out of all the characters, 2B interests me the most by far. Besides from the fact that she is obviously the main protagonist of the game, her entire character still has so much mystery behind it compared to 9S and A2 (who are pretty straigtfoward to understand). I really wonder whats actually going on in her head.

Now the final big question I have is, did 2B always know the entire truth about YoRHa (at least as much as the commander knew) since she was an assassin created to kill 9S models that discovered the truth about YoRHa???

I would like to assume yes she knew and it's probably why her personality has become so militerized and cold in general because she already knows that androids fight for no reason (along with killing someone she grown atached to so many times, which clearly causes her a lot of emotional distress as seen in endign A/B). But I don't think she knew about the whole backdoor of disposing YoRHa to continue the lie, as the text says, even the commander did not know the project was that pre-calculated.

So when 9S found out the truth he said he didn't want to tell 2B yet (and he never did), what if he didtell her? What would be her reaction be? Would she be honest and be like "yeah brah I already knew" or would she just kill him on the spot? Would she pretend like she was shocked....and then kill him? The result of tht sinario is something to think about.

And some other things:
When 9S asked 2B to call him "nines" do you think that 2B was the one who gave him that nickname in the first place? Just think about it, According to 9S himself he only EVER worked alone and the only person he ever partnered up with is 2B. We know 2B was always partnered up with 9S (to kill him). So could it be that in a past pastpartnership, 2B gave him the nickname when she wasn't so distant towards him? If so thats pretty cute....and sad at the same time. Just a thought tho.

Also why didn't A2 just tell 9S that 2B was infected by the virus? Like really, it probably wouldn't change the outcome of his actions but still it seems like something you would want to at least mention..............I mean someone else was gonna kill her anyway.

I just wanted to talk a little about 2B and pick at her mind a little. What you guys think?

I didn't read all of it, but I can answer this : no, 2B didn't know about the whole truth. She is cold because she's all about following orders, and being repeatedly ordered to kill 9S or other S units made her this way, too.

They didn't need to tell her the reason why she was assassinating them. Just "this unit has gone rogue" was enough for her.

About 9S and 2B having been partners in the past, I don't know. As far as 9S knows he's always worked alone, but he could very well have been reformatted several times. It could also be that he's really a new unit, and that 2B has killed other S units. Since they all have little personality differences, it was only as if she had killed him already.

why didn't A2 just tell 9S that 2B was infected by the virus?

Just for the sake of the plot and drama, sadly. But if kinda fits her not caring about anybody, especially other YorHa units that are usually instucted to engage her if they meet.

She didn't know everything, and the only way she knew when to kill 9S or other models is by orders of the commander herself by email. If I recall correctly, the "kill order" emails have a different chime or something? I can't remember, but that's how she knows.

About being cold, she does this because she wants to surpress her emotions to reduce her chances of going crazy, like other E models have (2B is really an E model in disguise) and the order to supress emotions during missions helps alot in that regard which is probably why she's kinda strict about it.

IMO she does know as much as what commander because she has to be there every time 9S discover the truth and confide in someone. But instead of how 9S reacted to the truth I believe she's more align to how the commander feels about it. She understand the bigger picture of things and the rest of the androids really do need a "god" to keep their purpose going.

What I think she's uncomfortable about is the fact that her relationship with 9S gets reset every time he got too close to the truth, and it come to pass by her own hands. We only see 2B asking 9S to drop the honorifics(san/ma'am) twice in the game, but we can only imagine how many times it happen before the start of the game.

Yeah another guess was that she never knew why she had to execute him but I left it out the original post to reduce wall of text.
My issue is there are a few problems that can arise if she didn't know ANYTHING extra from the rest of the android types.

For one why doesn't she ever question why she is assasinating her own kind SO often if she is left completely in the dark? Its hard to expect anyone to follow orders this extreme and not question the integrity of their chain of command if they know nothing about who/why they are killing someone. If she knows nothing more than the rest of the models then there is a risk that she can easily ignore orders or go AWOL (because clearly she didn't want to kill 9S anymore).
I guess the "no emotions" rule help supress stuff like that from happening, but then the question becomes why design the androids with emotions to begin with? it seems like such an inconvinience. I think it was explained in the game somewere but I can't remember.

It just seems more likely and logical that she did know SOME secrets about YoRHa, because even in the game they never did confirm or state that she did or didn't know anything so it is possible.
