Forest King Castle - Can't rech the ledge!

SO i'm about to rage quit. I'm in the Forest King's castle, side scrolling. First room is a single enemy. Second are a bunch of little machines spilling out the right door. Third room has a broken floor, a chest on the right ledge, and a door on the bottom level leading back into the lower half of the second room.

Now, I can SEE that there's a ledge over the gap that I should be able to grab to haul myself up to the next floor. Except when 2B jumps it's like she's hitting an invisible wall. 9S keeps getting in the way and his sass is so not worth the aggravation of having him in the way.

I've tried a dasg and double jump. I've tried standing still and double jumping, I've tried walking and double jumping, at an angle even! But no dice. I'm still stuck here losing my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind.

Can someone please help me before I throw my beast of a laptop out the window?

How I hate it when people call something "quite easy". So I am tying to to it like on the first video on this thread. I get the jump+heavy attack but why cant she just reach the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ledge? I also menaged to get pull the jump+pot fire but both togther I cant do this. So a 2nd jump after the superjump? then the pod jump to the other side WTF is this? can somebody just give a step by step guide instead some very vague description? Also whats actually up there? is it woth it?

As I recall, most of those areas are more easily accessible from deeper in the area. It goes further right, then up, then back left again. Crafty use of dropping from a high height, combined with dashing and hovering, should get you there.

Got up once, then fell down by accident. So I got really annoyed, but after reading through here through I got some ideas and now it is easy. Thanks.

awesome video, I actually hadn't even known about the rising attack lol. FWIW I managed to get up on the top ledge with a rising attack + double jump, but from the ledge right below on the right side of the room. so kinda like the first video with the hard jump but from the other side of the room.

FYI the chest contained 2 Memory Alloys. Worth the effort. gl!

I still have no idea how to get to that ledge. I've been trying for an hour. I saw a video of someone double jumping but for some reason my 2b doesn't go that high no matter the timing or speed. I'm pretty close to uninstalling lol.

Also, I've tried jump-jump-heavy attack, I've tried jump-jump-fire. It seems like there's an invisible wall. Screenshots below

What framerate are you playing at?

Also, ignore that way. Take the easy route from the top.

Hey, which easy way from the top? I know i'm replying to this a year later, but i bought this game only last week. And nobody here seems to answering this particular ledge issue. Everyone is talking about some other chest.

Hey, this video is completely different from the ledge in the picture ! This ledge that OP was talking about, and what I'm talking about, and what a couple of others are talking about - is not about the chest ! It's about a ledge at the entrance of the game - which if you don't climb, you're stuck. You can't move forward with the game.

That's why I found most of the replies very confusing.

The ledge near the beginning of the castle? A double jump is required.

Unlocking the framerate with FAR causes this as jumping is one of the things which is affected by an unlocked framerate., ensure that the framerate is at 60 fps

I don't use the FAR mod. The framerate is locked at 60 fps. The simple double jump doesn't work. The other combos of attack, dash, etc. also don't work. I play on a PC with a controller.

I'm surprised that I bought this game a week ago, and considering it's a year since it's released, and with so many people having this bug, there's been no patch or update to fix this.

All threads made by people who had trouble with this jump are those who unlocked the framerate.

The only other thing possible is is your frame rate is bad enough that it drops below 30 fps at this point.

The other thing you could do is press the heavy slash button shortly after the first jump, when done causes 2B to spin and propels here upwards, that might give you enough momentum to be able to complete the jump

9S has a similar move , exept it's light slight slash button instead
