Let that sinc in.
One of the keys shown onscreen for debug, on a controller, is the evade button. But for keyboard and mouse we dont have a dedicated button at all. Its a double tap.
"Let that sink* in" is reference to thinking about that for a second. To realise that this stuff regaurding a lack of dedicated evade button is rather stupid design wise.
Go buy a console.
Well, if you can use those buttons to dodge his comment maybe you can use them to dodge in game xD
Apparently, the game has at least one advantage when played with a controller:
You have an Evade button, and this allows you to access Debug mode.
I'd say that using this metric, the game is objectively better when played with a controller.
Regardless, I'm sure we'll see a patch soon which will shore up the shortcomings of playing a combo based action-RPG/twin-stick shooter/platformer with a keyboard and mouse.
Its a forced flaw. They added an extra step for K&M.
Otherwise, it functions fine and as a play tool functions no better or worse than a controller. Especially for the PC gaming audiance.
I notice that people only prompt controller for ported games. Unless its racing or fighting genres the genre never seems to matter otherwise. Just ports.
Idk if people are to stupid to know what a good K&M setup is or if its just some salty console peasants dropping by from youtube to troll PC gamers.
Anyway, yes. I hope thye just patch in an option for a dedicated key. Personally, as interesting as I find it cnceptually, I have little interest in playing debug mode. I wanna know what it does but... idk. Something about not being able to save post-activation puts me off.
Ill probably look it up on youtube at some point.
K+M I use for FPS.
It's pretty rude to just call everyone "to stupid" because they like controller.
Some games are most certainly more enjoyable using other peripheals and keyboard/mouse is not the ultimate solution. Any pc gamer that truly believes mouse and keyboard to be the only option really isnt much of a pc gamer. Choice. Choice is what it means to be a pc gamer, to have the best hardware and be able to use any peripheal for any game always having something optimal.
Nier is certainly designed around a controller....it can be played mouse and keyboard, but I wont lie, a controller works better. For me at least...and thats what Ill use.
Wait a minute.
You say that like it's intrinsically not going to work.
That's not true at all and I don't see what gives you that idea.
DmC5 is amazing on PC; plays perfectly and has a skill cap higher than controllers due to dedicated buttons for switching weapons (rather than having to hold the button down on a controller, although keyboard gives you THAT option too) among other enhancements.
I got really, really good at MGR before I stopped playing. And I used a KB+M on that game too. Blade mode was only a little bit wonky, I didn't have an issue with it 99% of the time.
You think just because Platinum messed up this game's port means that its style of game intrinsically won't work well on a KB+M? You're either extremely impressionable, or extremely ignorant.
