How do you auto heal like in the tutorial?
In the tutorial your health packs would be automatically applied to you, how do you do that after the tutorial or do I have to always manually heal?

Its a chip you can get. I found one on the ground and another from a quest

You can use a upgrade to auto heal in your skill menu.

You'll need Auto-use item chip.

I thought any of the auto-anything chips only worked in Easy mode, though.

Go back to where you died in the tutorial (climb the broken bridge next to the 18 wheeler and follow it across then go up the back stairs and you'll find the place you died at in the intro go up to your body and retrive both your extra sword and all of your chips making it so you auto heal again when you're below 15% health)

Auto-Use Item chips. Finding your previous loot back in the tutorial area allows you to reclaim the one used in the tutorial, or you can just press on and have enemies drop one or ten eventually.

I died once before going back to the dead body from the intro. Does that affect whether the chips are still there?

The Auto-Use Item chip is the only one that works across difficulty levels, if I remember it correctly.

If I remember it correctly a few (or maybe all) of the items of the "corpse body" disappear after an additional death.

Under Skills > Plug-in Chips in the pause menu. You can only have so many chips installed and different chips take up different amounts of space.
