I'm not sure, but it sounds as if the group didn't actually crack the game nor Denuvo but managed to use a Steam emulator that fools Denuvo into thinking it's being run by a legitimate user, or something. Interesting none the less.

Developers aren't your friends or related to you in any way, they just want your money.
I watched a vid of someone doing it solo. Even if you manage it, it takes 2+ hours to solo.
But it haven't. The "crack" spoofs Denuvo using a burner Steam account and a Steam emulator. Denuvo is still there and does its thing so.................................................................................................. what?
Denuvo did not do it's job :/ more like Squeenix did the job themselves by ignoring the PC fanbase. Still no official patch, no communication and a sloppy port.
Most people will look at the negatives and simply choose not to purchase, wait for fixes or move on and forget the game exists.
