I'm guessing that's supposed to be read as if spoken by a machine.

I thought so too. They didn't do it on the original store page either. I wonder if the DLC name has something to do with it too? It's called 3C3C1D119440927.

They're just trying to convey the manner in which the Japanese (PSN) store page had its description written. And that was written in a manner that implies it was dictated by a machine.

I actually think there might be a hidden message. It was my first thought upon seeing the way it was written. Plus there is this.

Here is also a link to take you directly to the DLC.

Glory to mankind.

Which suggests there is something to figure out. So I started to do a little figuring out for myself.

First off there are a lot of things you can remove from the discription. Character names, "DLC" and just general, non random captilisation and ignoring the NR from NieR as that's how the game's title is always displayed and is not unique. If you do this and just focus on random captilisation, keeping them in sort of groups of where they are found you get this

DS AR CA JO WN HR ER LA ON S NC LD P AV TT

It's utter gibberish by the looks of it but then I counted. There are 15 groups, there are 15 letters/numbers in the DLC title.

DS AR CA JO WN HR ER LA ON S NC LD P AV TT

3 C 3 C 1 D 1 1 9 4 4 0 9 2 7

It's all BS really and likely means Absoloutely nothing at all. (It probably does mean absoloutely nothing at all)

But anyway as for the DLC title itself the date "11944" is one year before the date that this game takes place "11945". What does that mean? I have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea. what does 0927 mean? I also have no real idea.

Maybe they are numbers of androids. A team of androids perhaps? 0(?) 9(S?) 2(B?) 7(?) it being entirely possible a sort of prequel DLC set one year before the events of the base game is on it's way, staring 9S and 2B.

Or maybe those letters have some connection. 0L or 0D? 9P? 2A (A2?) T7? Who knows. I think maybe there's something in there.

27th of September, 11,944.

It's the timestamp, probably of the "Dream" that the DLC is about. It seems a whole subplot exists within the DLC and its arenas.

I don't own the DLC so I totally wouldn't have caught that. Plus I wouldn't have caught the date since it's written out as 9/27. Being in the UK and all i've always written it as 27/9.

But anyways, that clears that up. Thanks.

Well... It's an ISO 8601 timestamp...
