Third playthrough. Can't get to the awesome story because of the ♥♥♥♥ gameplay
Obviously spoilers. How the heck am I supposed to get to the abandoned facility when I can barely move, cannot jump, and once a robot gets a hit in, all his buddies can get a turn at the punching bag that the games turns 2B into??

You can use your pod and its abilities

I mean, it was pretty impressive the first time around, but now that it is simply an example of DIAS, I'd rather just get rid of disabling jumping/moving at normal speed, if at all possible.

edit: the pod helps but doesn't prevent 2B becoming a punching bag

I utterly hate that section of the game.

You do know the dodge button gives you an absurd amount of invincibility frames, right?

Only if you can actually use the dodge button, which you can't half the time in that section.

Going down into the ruin is basically a death sentence as the robots will hit you continuously when you're in the "damaged" mode. And if you're unlucky they'll do to you what they did to me, which was push me over the edge down to the bottom of the ruins where the Copied City exists. Took me two or three times just to get up on the ladder before another "damaged" mode caused me to fall back down again.

Soo, no way to bypass this than to HOPE you don't get killed by robots you'd normally wipe the floor with and to know the only right way to go? Seems pretty low, and a big motivation killer :/
It's SUPPOSED to be that way... It's not supposed to be fun, it's not supposed to be enjoyable. It's meant to be frustrating, she is literally fucking dying, with all her systems failing rapidly, do you really expect her to be able to move normally? Would a human being, whose internal organs are rapindly failing all at the same time be able to move normally?
This is one area where the story requires the tedium for a good reason. Besides, you can go around and skip most of the enemies...

I don't know if this helps, but you could try to equip chips that improve your movement speed for this passage ?

@Yorha no.1 type N - as correct as you are, this is in no way enjoyable after seeing it once, and I'd very much like to move on from this point, tedium be damned. And no, you really cannot skip most of the enemies, what with being glitched/slowed most of the time. I guess I'll come back to this later, too bad.

I got knocked all the way down into the alien ship/copied city cave path when I came out of the sewers because a medium biped was there waiting for me. In between 2B dragging herself around and waiting until she was able to climb back up the ladder and jump again, I still had enough time to make it to the destination when I took the long way (towards desert camp) around.

Next playthrough I just jumped across the gap (same one as the escort clown parade subquest) by walking around dodging bullets and waiting until I had full movement to make the jump. That's probably the fastest way as long as you know your way around the ruins.

This was how I ultimately completed it as well.

But yeah, I get OP's frustration. I got so frustrated the first time around that I was basically emotionless during the final moments and follow-up cutscenes.

If they wanted me to hate her then they succeeded, but I somehow doubt that was the case they were going for.
After coming out of the pipe from the coast, I turned left and went in that direction, took the slope up towards engels, then turned to the right and used the gaps in the building rather than the road leading to the desert to avoid some of the more awkward robots there and then headed towards the bridge then. Essentially walking all the way around the "big hole in the ruins."

I found as long as i kept moving, even when 2B's limping, most of the robots (which were stubbies) i saw on this route missed hitting me and the timer is more than enough, near the vending machine infection was about 60-70% or so.

edit: (vending machine near the tower)

You know if u go left instead of right whenever u get out of the flooded city pipe, u ignore almost all enemies. Go the way of the city ruins center save point and cut over to the shopping center that way. I've found that to be the easiest route to take

Because Final Fantasy XV Chapter 13 wasn't a big enough nightmare...
It may sound like a very strupid question, during this part of the game, but does using the vending machines work at all?

It never occurred to me to try them.
