"In 2004, Dusk was remastered from the ground up for modern consoles (as well as sporting a new title, Final Dusk). Pushing the power of the Xbox and Playstation 2, David Szymanski and New Blood delivered state-of-the-art visuals at 480p with a stable 30 frames-per-second. The remaster was met with universal acclaim and praise by fans for the fresh coat of paint and for managing to retain the atmosphere of the original release, while others were somewhat confused by the new version, believing it was a sequel to the original 1999 classic before it had hit store shelves.

Although Dusk was an incredibly popular PC title at launch, Final Dusk never saw a release on the platform until 2023. Previously, the title was ported to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2008, bundled with pre-orders of New Blood's newest game at the time, Amid Evil. It was then released as a standalone title a month later. The port sports an enhanced resolution (720p) and runs at 60 frames-per-second."
