tha'ts exactly what i was thinking the multiplayer was why i spent the $20 and i coulden't even find one game with a player in it i thought there would be hundreds of players but there wasn't even one

The game is more known for its single-player campaign. There's at least one active MP server every now and then. If you're a part of the New Blood Discord, you can ask around in the Duskworld chat to see if anyone wants to play.

how about just setting up a server so people can play ?

I thought i joined the multiplayer community when i bought the game ;)

Who wants to join a chat and "ask around" if there is someone to play with?
Thats what the server browser is for.


I bet alot more people would actually play the multiplayer if

A: the multiplayer EXE (put it on the desktop with the singleplayer shortcut) wouldnt be
hidden in the gamefolder.

B: the ingame button for Duskworld (yes there is one in the starting screen; bottom right) would
be part of the actual menu (put it into the center list with all other menupoints, call it
MULTIPLAYER or at least make it visible that DUSKWORLD = MULTIPLAYER,so people
know what they are looking at )

C: dont force people to join a discordchat to play a game!
A game which focuses so much on speed!
After all, we bought a shooter game. not a copy of VR-chat.

I want to play the game and THEN talk to some of the people i played with.
Not the other way around.

That's not how it works.

You join a special "Looking For Games" server and then you can simply hit @everyone to let people know you're on a server. That's it. The memes are entirely optional.

Well.I payd Dusk on Steam,and not on Discord.So I wanna play it HERE on Steam! Also I H8 to register,log in(often it doesnt work!) so why I should?! Again: ADD Finally BOTS!
just take a look on my very first,very own shooterexperiece TOXIKK. Own serveroptions,excellent
bots(at least for a Noob like me XD). Really bots would help a lot,im sure. Also I wait for new stuff,on Dusk,Amid Evi and Ion Maiden..........

Developers can't control if people are in their servers 24/7. I agree that multiplayer should be more apparent when in the menu, but other than that there isn't much they can do. I find that hopping onto an empty server around usual peak times nets me 1-3 players to DM with*. If you're so adamant on not joining the community to actually find games, maybe that's what you should be doing.

*I'm NA, this may or may not be the case for players outside of the NA servers.

My opinion:Because of Discord Duskworld dies on Steam.I dont want to be forced to move on Discord,to play Duskworld.Slowly I think Duskworld is dying.Moscow,U.S.,Germany all I see is empty servers.Its time for an official Server here on Steam.Im still hope for bots too.

This isn't rainbow six siege or anything, it's an indie game made by 3 people tops

stop being entitled. be glad dusk isn't a "score-based arcade game" or "FPS tower defense experience" in the first place
