Exclusive Fullscreen Patch
Unity has recently removed the -window-mode option, leaving players unable to activate exclusive fullscreen mode via the usual method, as DUSK is now on a version of Unity that is affected by this change.

As a temporary fix, I have put together a patched UnityEngine.CoreModule.dll file which allows -window-mode to work again.

Installation Instructions:
1. Right click on DUSK in your Steam library, and choose Properties
2. Select the Local Files tab
3. Click on Browse Local Files...
4. Navigate to the Managed folder inside the DUSK_Data folder
5. Place this file in there, overwriting the original: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/240432519990738944/501449730090598417/UnityEngine.CoreModule.dll

Activation Instructions:
1. Right click on DUSK in your Steam library, and choose Properties
2. Select the General tab
3. Click on Set Launch Options
4. Add the following: -window-mode exclusive

If that file didn't exist, the game wouldn't even be able to run. Are you sure you're looking in the correct folder?

Could you provide a screenshot of the DUSK_Data/Managed/ folder? Also, are you on Windows, Mac or Linux?

I'm having an issue that might be related to exclusive fullscreen. Basically I can't get the game to run in 120 fps. Even with v-sync off in game and in the nvidia manager I'm capped to 60. Also, whenever I exit the game, resolution goes back to 3840*2160. Note that my display is a 4k panel that supports 120fps in 1920*1080.

Just confirming this works for nvidia GTX 1080 ti BUT you must set your display to 4k res. Thanks to the dev(s), loving the game so far. can't wait for coop :steamhappy:

does anyone know if its possible to get DSR and exclusive fullscreen working on a 1080p monitor without having to set desktop resolution to 4k?

Recently got back to Dusk, but still the same issue. Basically I can't set a resolution other than what is native in windows.

Nah, i still have to put that patch to fix it.

Have us sit through a fake DOS startup when we launch game for the sake of "retro" but exclusive fullscreen is "obsolete". And not giving people the option for supersampling in game so they suffer the god awful shimmering if their screens are not high resolution - now that surely is not obsolete.

Just for reference, this patch still seems to work. I had to put the patch dll into the Dusk_Data / Managed folder and overwrite the existing dll file. The OP says to put the dll into the Dusk_Data folder, but this won't work.

After setting the launch parameter the micro stutters I was having have disappeared. I'm happy about this because it was driving me nuts trying to work out what was wrong with it.

I have a 3070 and an i7-9700KF

It's probably easy to mis-read if you skim over it, so I might edit it later.

This did not work for me. The fakedos loading screen is full screen, but then it changes to windowed when the Dusk main menu appears.

Instead, I allowed it to run in windowed mode. Then I used AutoHotKey to create a script that would hide the top title bar of the window. I used this script:

WinSet, Style, ^0xC00000, A

After saving the script, I created a shortcut and then bound that shortcut to a key on my keyboard. I hide the Windows taskbar on the bottom of the screen, and then used the script command to hide the title bar on the top of the screen and bam! Full screen.
