How are these achievements STILL broken?!
I'm kinda pissed right now. Just finished a playthrough of Dusk HD, painstakingly following a guide for the "True 100%" and "Don't Drop It" achievements, making sure to find every secret, soap bar and secret leve.. I double checked my stats before leaving each level, and yet the achievements did not pop like they were supposed to.

This exact thing happened during my first playthrough as well. Will this issue ever get patched?

We have been unable to reproduce this issue on our end, and have always found the answer to be user error, as there are tens of thousands of people who have gotten those achievements. There was at one point a bug that did in fact effect these achievements, but it has long since been patched. It is entirely conceivable there has been some regression in that regard and the bug has return in dusk hd. If you are willing to work with us and use steam achievement manager to check your epX_Completion and epX_soap statistics (x being the episode number) we can debug what flags failed intialization.

I'd prefer not to download a potentially unsafe third-party cheat program. Is there no other way of accessing this information simply using the games files?

The program is open source and can be compiled yourself if you dont trust it. There is also nothing about it that is inherently "cheating", it runs the same code games would run to unlock achievements.

That said, if youd like you can also run through the game with the launch parameter -logfile output_log.txt and pore over the resultant text file to find debug statements about your achievement progress when you for example, touch a soap, or complete a level. If you can get me example statistics from those statements I can also help that way, its just slower.

the relevant stats are called ep1_completion and ep1_soap (changed per episode, obviously)

Hey, I'm a lil bit late to the party, but I also didn't get my true 100% (though the soap completionist popped just fine). I'll attach the screenshot from the SAM, the trouble seems to be somewhere in the ep1, despite the fact that every single level along with E1MS has got a completions award https://imgur.com/a/VKsIeIY

Sorry to bother you, i cant seem to find a clear answer as to how to read this to know which soaps im missing, i found the stat, both in SAM and in the logfile, but what does each number mean?

Slightly off topic. I am at Episode 3. I am getting the Completionist in all Missions for the Achievement. My problem is, I did not achieve Completionist in a Mission in Episode 1.

If I replay that Mission, will it count towards the Achievement?

Hey, I'm not the one you asked but I guess I can provide a good enough answer. The numbers in the stats serve as a counter rather than an identifier of exact soaps you've missed somewhere, so it's up to a player to keep an eye on that. I've posted a screenshot several posts back, you can compare it to your stats and see which episode soaps you're missing out (4095 means you got everything from the given episode)

hmm i see, so at the very least i can pin point which episode the missing soaps are in, thanks!
this isnt what i wanted but its close enough to make this less of a needle in the haystack situation

this thread is old, in theory it should work now, but make sure you have all the soaps cause there is no way ingame to tell that

Heya, I just finished my run through to get the achievements I was missing and was doing it on DUSK HD and got both the Completionist achievement and all the soap achievement with no problem. So, it's likely you missed something. If you're missing both completionist and the soap achievements, and you've checked your level select and seen that you've got completionist for everything, double check to make sure you visited all three of the secret levels, as they all have completionist awards and soap as well.

Hope that helps, good luck.
