"I've also been doing some experimenting and I've figured out how to copy both the save and level progress, not sure if this is applicable to you with this being your first run but more so to others. Theres a file called "scores" located in Dusk//config, "scores" being responsible for kills/enemies/secrets when viewing level select. I had to overwrite my base DUSK scores with the scores in DUSK HD (so like DUSK HD//config) to get the completionist plaques to show up in vanilla DUSK. So essentially, for those achievements specifically I believe that if I wait until the 2nd to last level (or wherever the last bar of soap is, maybe last level), port saves and filename "scores" to vanilla DUSK, that should work for getting "Dont Drop The Soap" and "True Completionist"
Glad to confirm the achievements working on your end, that confirms my theory more or less."
Dude from the thread ported his save for Episode 1 completion to get his achievement, so that confirms achievements will unlock, and i have confirmed ported my level select progress over to vanilla DUSK (back up your "scores" file just in case). That means theoretically the 100% will unlock if you save a bar of soap and a level for vanilla DUSK.
Aww man sucks it doesn't work, thanks for the replies though!
Correct me if I am wrong, from my understanding you can copy the save file(scores/progression) to the original DUSK and it'll unlock (achievements)??
EDIT:
I actually found your thread, I was wondering for achievements like "Intoxigated" (the one where you have to be intoxicated and kill the boss) does that still work if either I do it in HD I do the achievement and then copy it to classic. Or does it have to be before the final blow on the boss on HD I have to save and copy and then kill him in DUSK Classic?
Go to your DUSK folder and the // denotes subfolders
DUSK HD scores are in DUSK//DUSK HD//config/
Vanilla DUSK scores are in DUSK//config
The filename being "scores", you'll see it.
As for the instanced achievements (Duskbaby, Intoxigated, etc.) you'll have to get to the point it would pop and port your save to vanilla according to dude in my thread.
The scores tidbit is only for getting your 100% completion through playing DUSK HD and porting your save/scores on the last level to pop said achievement
I'm currently doing this and "Dont Drop the Soap" in HD, and on the last level will port scores and saves to vanilla DUSK, pick up the soap and beat the level, unlocking both achievements tied to 100%.
looks like there's no achievements in DUSK HD
because I was supposed to get 3 or 4 achievements
then went back to dusk classic and got them
so THAT along with another steam discussion
looks like dusk HD doesn't have achievements yet for whatever reason....
