DUSK
Help with eye sensitivity?
So usually this only ever happens with super pixelated games or with a game like Post Void (which is designed to give you headaches) but it’s honestly insanely hard to play Dusk without having my eyes hurt or getting disoriented. I widened my FOV and that hasn’t helped much. Usually this only happened a few times in postal brain damaged and amid evil when I was moving fast through a tight pixelated corridor and the ant lion caves in half life 2 e 2. I wear contacts and sunlight/pure darkness doesn’t help it either, I was wondering if there’s any settings I should try to stop this from happening because I really really enjoy the game it’s just fast movement+ the pixels partially overstimulates my eyes for some reason. Any ideas on game settings to stop this? Thanks in advance

Sometimes lower FOV can help with eye strain, as central objects of your focus will appear larger on screen. You could also turn off the pixelization filter, or if you really need to, turn on bilinear filtering to smoothly filter the textures so you no longer see much pixelization to speak of. There is also the option of using an external AA solution, or a super resolution to help minimize aliased edges. You may also be getting disoriented by the camera movement and view bobbing, which you can also turn off!

Thank you so much for the info my friend, I’ll definitely try out the methods . I really enjoy this game and anything else y’all have worked on so it bummed me out at how disoriented I was getting since it’s never happened with any other game to that extent except Post Void. Thank you :)
