Configuring a PS5 Controller, Changing Button Settings
Hello,

I have my SteamDeck attached to the big-screen and am using a PS5 controller.

How do I change button settings while using a PS5 controller with SteamDeck? I find the default controls lacking. For instance, R2 is both 'Shoot' when holding a pistol, and opens the main menu. So I end up pressing R2 -> Main Menu Opens -> Close Main Menu -> Shoot. Also, crouch is the "Options" button when I'd much rather have 'O' as crouch and the "Options" button as my flashlight.

Thanks!

Seems, like the only thing you can do in-game, is to change between 4 different controller layouts ("Options" --> "Feel" --> "Controller Layout"). If you want to change individual buttons, you have to do so using Steam Input and make your own PS4 controller-config (in-game prompts might not reflect those changes).
It can be done on a game-by-game basis, but i'm not sure, how you access those configs on the Deck. On Desktop, there's a "Controller Configuration"-option under the big, green "PLAY"-button, when highlighting a game in your library with a supported controller connected.

I was going insane, I have set my Steam deck on the TV with the Steam dock and I am using a dualsense controller. No matter what, R2 what both shooting and pausing, and all they buttons were messed up. It looks like it's a DUSK problem ?

Has anyone found anything out for this? I've tried non-PS5 layouts, turning off the steam inputs, but nothing seems to actually fix that multi-function trigger issue

I'm not having the multi-function of one trigger. I have like 3 ways of pulling the trigger, but my problem is no buttons to crouch, and I'd like to change the sensitivity settings. Hope you guys have had better luck since then.
