DUSK

Having some issues (glitches) with this game...
So every time I open up Dusk, with *no exception*, the level starts out fine and functional until after a couple save points all the enemies just freeze and do nothing (except for the ones that charge at you), and sometimes the buttons you have to press doesn't work. This is like this throughout the *entire game* unless I specifically click on the "Level Select" function and click on the level I was on, and this whole process resets. On Mission 3 and I'm growing quite tired of this process.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

System specs?
Have you tried some troubleshooting steps already and if yes, which ones?

First i'd try to verify the game files or re-reinstall the game outright. Might just be a broken game file.

Windows 11
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz
Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.6 GB usuable)
64-bit operating system

I don't have DirectX apparently but I thought I did. I'll download that.
I've re-installed the game before but had the same issue happen.
I'll try DirectX and troubleshooting from now on. Already verified the game files.

Update: it *still* doesn't work. I haven't tried any troubleshooting though. Some tips would be helpful, or if anyone has any other ideas.

Might be a more complex issue, you're having. I saw, that you've made a thread about this earlier in the help-forum. You've gotten a response from the developer, asking for a log-file. I suggest you provide it, if you haven't already.

I can only think of basic trouble-shooting steps, like going to your laptop manufacturer's website and check for driver-updates (chipset, graphics, etc). I'm assuming, that you're on a laptop without a dedicated GPU.

While you wait for the dev to process your log-file, you could also temporarily disable your antivirus and perform a clean boot of Windows, to at least rule out 3rd-party programs or OEM bloatware creating some kind of weird conflict:

You can revert those changes, once you're done testing. IMPORTANT: Keep all Microsoft and Intel graphics-related services enabled!

You can also try disable DVR and game mode[obsproject.com] in WIndows, though they're unlikely the culprit. I'm shooting at the dark at this point.

Can you add -logfile ouput_log.txt to the launch parameters, and send us the resulting text file when this happens in game? That would help us diagnose this issue easily!

Right, I did all you asked, but where do I find the resulting text file? Thanks.

Just for further clarification, I copy/pasted that -logfile output_log.txt code into the launch options for the game. This is the correct step, right? Just wanna make sure.

I misinterpreted. "When this happens in game." I'll send it to you for sure. Just gimme a moment.

Yes, the text file will be located in the game's folder!

Sorry for the wait. I went back to sleep.

I uploaded the log file here: https://ufile.io/reyjylt5

Thanks!
