It's really not what i was expecting...though it still makes me want to see some expansion pack(or DLC) update to the game.
Mostly because i really want to kill Nyarlathotep, the game has a great atmosphere and the last few levels do show just what kind of beings we are messing with.
...But it still felt incredibly cheap having Nyarlathotep just shrug everything off and pretend he was just dying and automatically brainwashing me when he only had 1 HP left.
I get it, he is an Eldritch Abomination, but seriouesly, after everything level where i was basically an one man army, having all my efforts being put to waste so easily just made me a bit bitter.
All it did was make me want to kill Nyarlathotep that much more, the bastard that pretends he is being hurt and then just mocks and laughs with 1 HP left and automatically wins.
Seriously, if there ever comes some DLC(or expansion pack if you prefer) for this game, i really really hope it's about the main character shrugging off the brainwashing, finding some weapon or way to kill Nyarlathotep, and it ending with the damn guy dead.
I don't know, when i spent the entire game killing everything in my way, i see a boss with a health bar decreasing, a God that has a whole gimming revolving around literally shooting cracks in the darkness to deliver what kinda appears to be holy light to weaken it enough to hurt it...it really really didn't cross my mind i couldn't kill the Faceless God.
I mean it, i was genuinely suprised when everything turned around and i got a sad ending where the villain wins, again, i get that the game had a whole horror atmosphere which was really well done and the last episodes gives a great feel that we are facing something strong but...it's not like this is a survival horror game where there is barely any ammo and i can't defend myself, plus it's always really really cool to kill Eldritch Abominations.
Not that it matters, as i really did enjoy episode 3 and think DUSK is an amazing game that i would heartily recommend, just ended up wanting to kill one more bastard is all.
In the next days I am writing a in-depth review with some feedback for future stuff to come.
