Final level? (blue trees)

The level with the blue plasma-y environment and non stop spawning enemies, is it supposed to be beatable or is this how the game ends?
It suggests there's 270 enemies but i can only get to around 70 before dying.

Nope it's the second to last level. I'ts meant to be one giant last gauntlet challenge before the final boss. Try different strategies to survive! You can jump off the arena and it will teleport you to the middle too!

There is also a secret route to beat it if youre having trouble beating it normally!

To defeat the enemies, shoot them until they die, also autosaves are your friend, you can always change the difficulty in the options.

The gauntlet is reportedly really hard, I wouldn't know, I've never done it myself. But if you look behind the spawn, you might see a small plaform way off in the distance. If you have a lot of crossbow ammo, you can get there, which leads you to a shortcut that takes you past the gauntlet.

I mostly just strafed jumped/used jumpers around the edge of the map to let the enemies kill each other and to shoot at priority targets like welders or cowgirl. Try to save the powerups, mostly stuff like the fast fire totems and the super hot syringe since they don't respawn. However, stuff like ammo, diamonds and I think health pickups respawn after each wave.

You don't need to crossbow jump there, I think you can just jump off the platform and walk there.

I just used the jump pads and tried to get the enemies to group up so they would kill themselves. Seemed to work. But I can't say it wasn't intense. It was fun, but there were enough "oh ♥♥♥♥" moments to make it tense. Never knew about the secret exit.

Really? When I missed a shot while getting there, I got killed.

Some tips I can offer for this:

1) Keep moving. Enemies fire at your last known spot and always try to get right in front of you, so keep moving to avoid their projectiles
2) Jump off the arena. It will teleport you back inside
3) Memorize the waves. Learn which wave spawns what enemies and what weapon to use

Tried it on Duskmare, after 5 or 6 attempt decided it is not worth it, used "easy route".

One question: Are you playing on Accessible?

Get your strafe jump on! Let the enemies try to shoot at you while strafe jumping and they'll start hitting each other and in fight. After they weed each other out, pick off the few that are left. This is especially important when you get to the round with the cowgirls. Also, on the Duke mage/scientist round, fall off the platform to stop there tracking fireballs. With a bit of practice you should be able to get by. Good luck to ya.
