P.s. At the moment magicISO's comment is "awaiting anaylsis by [Steam's] automatic content check system." It was posted over 7 minutes ago, and still hidden, so that's not fun.
Mod Builder. Up to date and a ton of variables to change.
There is a animal population plugin, where you can raise the population of a map. Sadly only in +100% steps. So you have to face directly a double amount of animals up to 2000%, what makes a super computer melting. When a normal map has a round 3-4k, Finland has already 6.700 animals.
For that you have to delete or rename the specific animal_population_xx file for the map you are playing on in your save game location.
\Documents\Avalanche Studios\COTW\Saves\xxx_long_number_xxx
The newest files normaly. That way, with the population plugin active a new population file with your desired population raise will be created, when starting the map next time.
Check the size of the file compared to your normal, renamed file. Or use animal population scanner, what shows a ton of stats and also the total number of animals.
When you see the new file is the old file size, deactivate cloud and rename the same file name in all 3 slots backup folders. Then try again.
The speed plugin will help with the slow pace of the game.
From here on out we will be removing ALL posts and/or comments encouraging or referencing all mods and cheats. Here is some of the reasoning as to why :
- Some of the bugs reported are directly caused by the mods being partially incompatible with the game and/or its updates. This means devs are wasting time investigating a small amount of bug reports that are not actually game bugs and would not otherwise exist if not for modded clients.
- Cheaters ruining the experience for non-cheaters in multiplayer
- Mods are NOT officially supported, and likely will not be
- Some of the mods/cheats containing malicious files
- We highly respect fair play and do not look highly on unfair play
- If a mod has enough conflicts with an update, it can render your save state permanently bugged, even after uninstalling the mod
There are other reasons as well that I'm sure you can think of
PLEASE DO NOT POST OR COMMENT ABOUT MODS AND/OR CHEATS. Consider this your warning.

If running about without care is what you want, just watch most youtubers and streamers, it is really not that hard once you learn the spooking distances and best positions to shot for -hint- drinking zones.
It took between eight to twenty minutes for Steam to show me the link, but it eventually did.
