Buy now or wait for Steam Summer Sale?

Played on the free weekend and this game got my attention. The sale is going until 25th June, but I also know the Steam sales are starting on that day. Do we have any information if the game will still have a discount during the Steam Summer sales? I would rather buy it during the event to earn some point for badges and so on.

I doubt it will be in the summer sale. It appears to me that a lot of the publishers realized that the Steam sales are a madhouse and they have to compete with thousands of games being on sale at the same time so they lowered their prices a week early to avoid that. I think that's what Expansive Worlds did so I would not expect a discount during the Summer Sale.

I could be wrong though.

I'm in the same situation as you, played the free weekend, liked it, and I'm waiting for the Summer sale. In my case it's a lot more practical purchasing several games at once than making multiple purchases.
I remember in previous years there were games that were on sale the week before Summer sale and stayed discounted throughout the Summer sale, I'm hoping the same goes for COTW, imo it would be dumb not to leave the game on sale during Summer sale.

thats what i though from the start i just bought the compleat pack. i dono if they where going to do the summer sell or not it hurt buying it. bc i also bought the knightly game to.
u might have time to retuen this game if u want and try to buy the complete game..
tho i dought i will play with the ATVs since i love to just exsplore, this was one of the main whys i bought them game. hunting might be fun might be a good way to de-sense-a-tise my self..

Well what I did was just bought everything, 24 DLC it says and I hear they are going to release some more pretty soon, and not sure which games 2019 or whatever... now I'm going to go buy some other games during the Steam Summer Event, then come back to try this game out

What this did was eliminate all the guess work... just bought them all, hope that they are good. I think it all was about $45 USD or so, that's about right for a great game.

Looking at last year's sales history, they did have a discount on the DLC's during the summer sales event. However, they didn't run any discounts before the summer sale that time, which means they might be trying a different tactic this year by discounting the DLC's the week before the summer sale.

Also, the DLC's are currently on their best discount ever, and even if they'll also discount them during the summer sale, I highly doubt they'll sell them for cheaper.

So if you ask me, buy them now while you have the chance. That's what I did.
