Does Bison make sound or calls?

I ask cause i dont remeber hearing mate calls or sounds from them. and maybe thats the call i need to identify to get the achivement.

I've only head Bison emit grunts and occasionally a warning

they make a loud growling noise mainly, (very throaty ) , mostly warning calls if your to close

But is that grownling, grunt or warning call identifiable with a key like any other or is just a sound?

not sure what you mean with a key ?? when you hear it is very distinct ,when they run you over you know then what it was

Bisons make calls the same way as other animals. It just happens very rarely, except there is a big herd on the go, then it might happen more often.
Therefore, warning and mating calls are expectable.

I don't think they fixed it. They still don't make a sound, at least in my game. Had one stand 10m in front of me with its mouth doing the call animation, but not a sound.

Also they don't seem to attack anymore.

now thats a problem cause im about to unlock the eavesdropping achivement but i need the Bison call and these animals dont make the sound, i dont know when they are suposse to make the sound, when im pursuing them or when they are still. Or is just the bug thats in my way.

i have just identified a mate call frrom male bison, last one i need ed and achivement didnt unlock, suporting the idea that patch messed all hirschfeld achivements, another one in the list.

Most of them work, as I got a lot recently. Maybe there was an error or another issue.

I've been hunting Bisons a lot lately, never heard them call the last couple of weeks. Might be a bug, cause they did make sound earlier.

ok, went in and tracked a single male, knowing that they tend to find and join a larger herd and sure enough he leads me into a large herd laying down and just taking it easy. i move up on them pretty close and watch them for an half hour.

not one single call, not a sound, past experience with them is they still make mating calls when laying down, thats how i have found so many lazy herds in the past, but not this time.
saw one make head moves as to if it was calling out, the raising the head and moving it to the side with its mouth open and up, not a single sound.

So yeah i have to agree, Bison have fallen silent, no mating calls at all.

so i decided it was way too silent there and made a few sounds.

Yep, belongs in bug reports for sure then. I thought mine had been fixed so I'll be heading back out to Hirsch myself to double check.
