you have several options.
- you can lurk them from the known rest zone into the mission area by using the caller and just slowly walk (they follow you).
- walk from a longer distance to the mission area (more than 600m ) - because in the last patch they prevented that animals spawn in front of you - so I guess that your spawn-in (a tent for example) has a animal-free zone around it.
- if there are really no coyotes in the area ( I had this problem at Vualez #7 ) - then just delete the file "animal_population" from you savegame (disable steam-cloud sync before)
The file is located at ...\Documents\Avalanche Studios\theHunter Call of the Wild\Saves\#### (a big number)
The game creates a new one - which will be up2date to the last terrain changes. It helped for me.
