Is 2019 Edition worth it for new player?

The bundle is certainly worth the price, but good for a new player? Depends.
The game is special and takes alot of patience. Not for everyone.
Better watch some youtube videos first. Look for footage where they show the whole hunt and not just the kills stringed together.

When I bought Hunter during the summer sale I got some of the dlc as well. I like all of the different maps. All of them have their own unique feel. Of course I want all the animals I can get. I like the 4 wheeler. I think I like the weapon packs? I can't remember if I felt the extra weapons were essential or a waste?
The lodge to display your trophy's is meh. You have the option to save your trophy's for a later time. I never used the tents or portable tree blind and I don't care for bird hunting.

For the OP - Yes, you'll get what 4 maps and a bunch of fluff for them. I'd also buy the weapon packs, at the least pack 2 and 3. They'll help you get a jump start.

OP, I see you haven't bought it yet so must add that I did the numbers and it added up fine as a good purchase. I'm 100 something hours in (second time around) and haven't touched 3 (I think) of the maps yet. ATV and tents etc. are included and I use both. So yeah, found it's a good deal.

I bought the 2019 edition but I've yet to leave Hirschfelden map after 62 hours. I think it's totally worth it.

I still haven't gotten a diamond animal either.

I think so yes definitely. I also agree with the others regarding weapon pack 2, great weapons with no level restriction to give you a great start in the game.

I wish we'd get a season pass or something. as i said before, the 2019 edition that i thought gave a lot, leaves a lot needed....like tree stands.

While treestands are useful, they're far from required. You get the same effect from standing in a bush. The only thing that I understand blinds, tree and tripod stands do is that it decreases how much hunting pressure is applied to an area after a kill.

If you're shooting stuff ten times, it's either because you're not hitting vital organs or you're using too small of a caliber. I honestly can't say I miss stands but, then again, I'm also a spot and stalk hunter IRL so I do the same in game.

Anyway yes the 2019 edition is worth it because it gives you every DLC up to fall of 2018 for a discount and then you only have to buy the DLC that's come out since then. So you'll end up saving even more money off the sale prices if you start out with 2019 edition, if you intend on getting most or all of the DLC.
