Stability wise it's got much better, but the gameplay got worse. Apparently Avalanche dared to dream and made it a significantly worse experience all round.
i personally dont want easy enemies. if you are having problems just hover board away, you can easily escape on the board.
The brawler mech is some kind of "help/fix".
You can also hide from them in bushes sometimes it works xD or on trees ,if they are high enough or fast travel away or hoverboard away, but in all honest ... that last patch seriously broke the heat system.Sometimes its flickering from red to yellow in miliseconds soo fast or yellow icon never dissapears or enemies just randomly spawn somewhere and see you through walls ?
Like i had one single black hand buggy driving into a wall ,while i was on the hill other side and yet this guy saw me ,because as soon as i shoot that guy i got yellow.
Also something is wrong with the army of chaos ... they barely spawn lately to help you ,but the black hand does spawn more often or you sometimes instantly lose heat ,while they next to you.
i want a fix for that asap xD
Also Just Cause 2 was the only game [if my memory of JC1 is correct] to have difficulty setting, and that was not in game at launch. JC3 needed some, badly.
The game is getting more difficult but I can still manage the missions against humans. I don't know how many "Destroy the Source" missions I've completed but I'd say half a dozen. The latest one appears to be impossible. The cannons defending the source cannot be destroyed and there are a lot of them. They also don't miss. I've emptied all my weapons into one cannon and it's still shooting me. I can't stay alive long enough to destroy the source, and unlike the previous source missions, any damage I do to it, is undone as soon as I die. I just spent a solid hour dying and got nowhere. I'm done with that part of the story line.
Is there some secret to destroying the source's cannons that I'm just missing?
One thing that's a bit odd is that it's often easier to take out enemies with the grapple retraction and jets than with weapons...
If I die in battles, it's usually from the heavily armored vehicle I'm in suddenly exploding, which seems to happen faster than in previous games in the series.
And those immortal cannons? What's up with that?
JC3 and 4 are not that hard to stick it out and dominate Rambo style.
The Demons expac is an interesting one, at first i didn't like it all that much, but this last play through i was eager to play it out again because it's such a unique experience in the game. i actually sat out there in and around the demon infestation points and just took the time to observe it all, the chaos of the whole thing. i mean, so long as you got a rocket launcher capable of launching many rockets in one shot, you should be okay for the final approach to the thing in the middle, while parachuting one good shot will knock out two of the three weak points and then do it again quickly for the third while parachuting.
some of these weak points to withdraw tendrils can be a nice challenge, some of these invasion areas have tendrils that have taken over black hand military vehicles and if you aren't ready to destroy them quickly, you are likely to die from it. but the best weapon i've found for dealing with the small flying demons is the niagara SMG from the CIA subs. it's the most powerful weapon on the game when dealing with your enemies in general, the demons go down quickly to a shot or two from that gun, far, far better than that crossbow you are given.
not all of them and some can explode before you can jump out.
