Just Cause 4

Just Cause 4

View Stats:
Just cause 4 was rushed, obvious evidence. (If it wasn't obvious already)
Just cause 1: Unknown. If someone can provide me proof of development start, please provide.

Just cause 2: at least 4 and a little less than a half year of development time, judging by the time of release since JC1.

Just cause 3: A little over 4 and a half years of dev time, judging by time of release since JC2.

Just cause 4: Only around 3 years of development time max. At least a year less by estimate of other max dev times. Likely less if judging by the reference to Solis at the end of the last DLC.

Many people have guessed this is most likely not Avalanches fault, but rather their publisher, Square Enix, rushing the game for a quick pick me up during Christmas season. Didn't work this time, but it has before. They've rushed other games out, and a few years back, one of the dev studios under their ownership even had to remake a game.

This reminds of the time when valve released L4D2 too soon to the public. Lord Gaben himself stated that they simply completed the game ahead of schedule and did not expect backlash.

If a game is actually completed in full and is polished, then released soon to surprise everyone, that's completely fine. When, in the most common case of JC4, the publisher simply wants to get their sales up for Q4, it's the worst decision they can make.

I think the same, they clearly had a prepared announcement of a patch with almost ALL the issues wrong with it ready. SE rushed it to have holidays sales instead of pushing it to March/April like it should.

Indeed that is what I referred to. What I am trying to get at is you can't please people either way.

The game is full.. and polished and works great. What are you guys even talking about? I'm seriously starting to question people's sanity on here.

its not for the publisher, they won lots of money with preorder and non refundable console sales
They completely did not. Square's stock even lowered after the release of this game. It was a mistake all around, especially since they're going to be draining money taking time to fix the game.

I have a feeling many more people were pleasantly surprised than angry with the LFD2 release than were with the mess of a release we got here. Sure, people get mad regardless, but this situation never goes well.

I am questioning your ability to research this topic. 5 minutes on the forums will tell you all you need to know. Actually, 5 minutes playing the game past the loading screen, paying attention to the details, will tell you more than you need to know.

I see people whining about things they could adjust with their settings, with a better system, with a bit of research into the fact that their system won't support the things they want it to do. I see people complaining about crashes that don't happen, water that doesn't look horrible, lag that is nonexistent, binding of keys that nobody rebinds... did I miss anything?

Oh, right... people whining about what they think "should" be in the game, lol.

There is your complete list... I must live in crazy-ville since almost all of those have nothing to do with the game, much less a game review.

"Nothing to do with the game" you must both have incredibly low standards and not know what a game review is.

Well, it's not whining about how my system won't do what I want it to do, or crashes that everyone isn't having, or an extensive rant about how this or that sucks because it doesn't exist in the game.

Or.. do you think that's all "game review" material? haha.

Yes, that's what a game review is. Says whether or not the game functions in the first place, how well it plays, how well it looks, how well it's subsystems work, how good the story is, the characters, etc. Have you ever seen one that isn't from IGN?

LOL!

Actually, no. A "game review" is about the game. Not about whether or not your system could run it since you didn't bother to try to read the minimum and suggested specs, couldn't keep your drivers up-to-date, couldn't be bothered with reading your video card specs to see what version of AA you needed to use, etc etc etc. Much less the other "lssues" you're whining about in multiple threads.

Tooo funny though.

GTX 1080, 6700k, 40gb ram, the drivers that came out alongside JC4's release, and I shouldn't have to tell you the many people in this forum who've either stated they have a 1080ti and 8700/7700k or higher specs and have the same issues I do, or worse.

And I shouldn't have to tell you all of the things I mentioned before ARE the game.

Except they aren't in the game, lol.

I'm running a modest system with an i9-7900X, 1080 and 32GB RAM and not having a single issue you're describing. So, clearly you're the problem. Not your system.
