I believe 0.95v will be released once the following work is completed.
・Porting crafting recipes to the new system.
・Working on the new trailer.
I'm keeping an eye on this one.The goal may be controller support, but in the future our actions may be extended.
For example, shooting a gun while sliding.
・Working on Unreal input system.
That means juicing up the game, performance wise, adding most of the fun features (the CONTENT), before the final release AND the s&#tstorm it brings with it... then it's most probably going to be patches the first half to a year, before mass of other stuff comes into play (so basically, then you're gonna be crying about new stuff not being released, while the guys are working on resolving bug/performance/cheat/whatever issues)...
Look at CyberPunk, after several years the game is almost fantastic (for some)... ok, it has a huge studio behind it, but then again, it was the fact that a RUSHED release of the game was the main culprit for it being mocked as not fulfilling it's advertising.
And you cannot achieve the same amount of quality over quantity with something that offers so many opportunities like SCUM... the game is fun, the studio wants to fulfill its dreams AND ours... and it cannot all be done at the same time... so the guys are trying to fulfill some ideas (from the community or theirs) that they think will be fun, but it takes a toll in the end (something else will suffer)... you bring in new stuff, it doesn't work well with the old stuff...
Just respect the guys and give them the credit where credit is due, I think that for such a young game to make these HUGE leaps and having this GINORMOUS dream, it's only fair we let them have a few hiccups.
MotD: Don't be a douche, take the high ground!
gamepad support should be a high priority for 1.0v.
But I'm not sure.
If the input system means "Enhanced Input", it will allow new behaviors for our characters, such as shooting a gun while sliding.
In some cases, the developers may be looking at UNREAL Engine 5, but I think there will probably not be a thick upgrade to UE5 due to concerns that PC players with less than RTX20 series will be left behind.
Agreed. I've been waiting for controller support for a while. I play casual and need this!
