Some ideas for a mobile device, that used to belong to the Tec1 organisers. This is a pretty rare item per server, and so a very sort after item. Keep in mind these ideas and images are just to start a discussion.

The home screen
This gives you access to all the devices features.

Calling
Each phone has a number and can be called from and received.

Messages
Each phone can be used to send and receive text messages.

A basic torch

Air Drop GPS
Once activated the map on the device will show the current air drop location

Locker Access
In somewhere like the airfield, is a room or area that has a collection of high security lockers, used by the Tec1 staff. These lockers are numbered and corrispond to a mobile device. The lockers are idestructable and have an electronic lock on them. This can only be opened by the correct mobile device. These lockers could have loot initially, but would be great for players with the phone to store plenty of loot. Imagine killing a player and finding the phone on their body, with the locker number on it, bingo.

Battery Charging
The battery will need charging from time to time. I thought that if it was wireless charging, but the charges were placed in high risk areas, forcing players into these areas.

Map
One of the best features of this device would be the ability to see the map, with a GPS system on board. (see GPS)

Heat Sensor
The device could be fitted with a simple heat detector, allowing to scout the immediate area for campers or animals.

Drone Control
The device allows the owner to take control of a drone that is within 10 metres of the user. The drone can then be flown for a distance of up to 100 metres from the user. The device has a screen that shows the operator what the drone is seeing.

Mech Control
Similar to the drone control, the mech control can take over a mech, all be it for a very short time and with limited functionality and for a short period of time.

U.S.P.R. Utrasonic Sonance Puppet Repellant
Once this is activated on the device, it emits a ultrasonic sound that only puppets can hear, and will cause any puppet close enough to run away.

An item like this is nice to hunt for, and if you find it, a player will take great care not to lose it. I feel that there should be only possibly 10 - 20 max maybe even less.

I don't think there will be. Just because the developers once mentioned that even the current map should disappear again. We're thinking of a kind of "self-drawn" map that shows the progress of the exploration of the island.

Ok, would there ever be a device that does any of the other stuff do you think?

No, everything much too much high technology or so pointless that no player would use it voluntarily (for example store his things in a cupboard which can only be opened with the device).

I can imagine that the flashlight could come as a single device, or because of me a single device to hack a drone. But a combination device that can do everything? Never, then better a god mode function with built-in weapons and ammunition dispenser!

Thank you, even if there was something similar, and only a few on each server, making it a highly prized find. Anyway we can only suggest stuff, back to the drawing board ;)
