SCUM
[Mechanic} Bullet Velocity
Bullets seem to fly sluggish. a SVD shot is supersonic much farther than 800m however the shot can be heard .5-1 secounds before the bullets land. Ik that bullets slow down over time and SCUm has a very nice buttel speed system. but either the bullts need to be 10-20% faster or the rate sound travels needs to be increase at longer ranges

From my experience shooting long arms in the AR-15 to long .22 and hunting shotguns the Bullet velocity in Scum is agreed too slow. with the SVD at 400m I should not have to aim a good leading distance in front instead of realistically only a smidge of a lead for the bullet to make contact, as well as the real physics fact that the bullet at 1000 meters from a 7.62 WILL in fact hit the ground/target before the sound of the shot is even heard. +1 Matt for pointing this out for the Devs.

Ballistic calc gives me ~1.577 seconds flight time @ 800m for a 7.62x54R round. I was optimistic and assumed a 180 grain @ ~2600fps. The SVD is rated around 2700fps with a 150 grain projectile. The lighter bullet would generally have a worse ballistic coefficient, though and would lose velocity at a greater rate.

Also, it's not supersonic much farther than that without VLD projectiles. What ballistic coefficient are you using for your projectile?

Here's the ballistics of the Hornady 150 grain 7.62x54R from an SVD

yes 2700fps bullet velocity which is 822.96 meters per second which while saying the shot is slow compaired to todays modern hunting or sniper rifles the speed in the game puts it at a much slower speed in regards to shots at even 400 meters out takes a good whole 1.5< seconds from barrel to target. maybe saying that the bullet remain subsonic the entire time is inaccurate for a 1k meter shot but for anything under 400 meters it was pretty close. game doesn't even render puppets or players past 1k meters to me on epic settings that i have noticed or seen so im more so trying to pinpoint the shot at 400 meters and under for the 7.62 weapons. or at least add a higher velocity sniper-rifle for those that notice that tracer travel time.

Also* lest we forget the almost always reliable lag that may be affecting the bullet velocity projectile in the game. so time will tell.

+1, most games have slow bullet projectiles, kinda tired of it. I didnt test what youre stating, but we need realistic physics for bullets.
