Claiming beds.
With the planned ability to move furniture and such. Can we get a way to claim/use the beds in houses as spawns? As well as just "tag" whatever bed we have built in general? So we can switch between them?
A lot of people like having bases/outposts, so being able to just build beds and switch between them would be nice. It wouldn't be something crazy or overpowered, its simply setting up potential spawn points and choosing whichever one suits your current position best. You still would only have one spawn, it would just be nice to build multiple beds and select which one you want to spawn on. NOT WHEN SPAWNING, if you want to "select" what bed you want to spawn on you have to go to the bed and activate as your "current bed".

Clans stopping by their outpost in XYZ Town to 'touch' the bed inside before going raiding gets us right back to people spawning back into a fight, which they're trying to curb now. It would be worse, because they could also have gear stored inside. At least with the "spawn on squad" option people showed back up in oranges. Never mind the beds that would be all over the POI's for people to touch so they can spawn locally if they die inside.

If you cant find beds that close to your base....idk what to tell you.
Also its a double edged sword, if they change their spawn to an FOB their main base is open.
Meaning it will keep people fairly close, if they risk going across the map, they leave their base open for a longer time

You're assuming the beds are out in the open. If they are in a locked building (which is why I specified "in XYZ Town") it makes it a much more difficult issue. It also pulls the gameplay away from other activities to "must patrol for enemy beds/bases".

The devs are already looking for ways to curtail people spawning back into fights after death. Why create a mechanic that makes that easier, thus making that problem worse?

It would also increase the current problem of locked, but empty buildings across servers that have been abandoned by the groups that locked the "outpost".

I could also just as easily say, "If you can't be bothered to gather some rags and sticks...I don't know what to tell you."

Unless there's a way for other players to know they've moved their spawn this won't mean much. And a mechanic to keep people huddled around their bases is ok, if the only point of the game is build and raid. I think it's a terrible idea.

That's just my IMO, though. I just don't think the benefits (which would make my play easier as well) are worth the downsides.
