Does a person practicing punches on a punching bag or sparring on the mitts hurt another?
Or a shooter shooting at targets can't improve his shooting skill? Do you want to completely deprive other players of the ability to improve their skills outside of combat with other players or zombies?
Do you think that would be the best option for the game?
Seriously?
And yes, I think it's normal and correct, especially after the developers disabled the ability to upgrade skills on targets.
This^^
So you think you can only learn to fight when you're hitting other people?!
But the reality is that you can learn to fight without bothering others or getting hit in the face.
Even without stupid ideas, the developers have VERY limited the ability to improve skills outside of wars with other players or zombies, so as to take away their last chance to do it safely.
Thousands of people around the world go to karate, kickboxing and other martial arts classes, learn to fight without hurting anyone and without being hurt by others.
And you say that this should not be in a game that is quite realistic and such opportunities SHOULD remain in the game!
I have a question for you.
WHY did you decide that this should not be, when in reality it is?!
What kind of nonsense are you talking?!
I think he's referring to how it works in the game, not real life. You get experience on your character from hitting the person / puppet, not based on the damage dealt when you do.
But if we proceed from the blow of a puppet/human, then what difference does it make whether there is actual damage or not.
There is no damage in safe zones, but this does not mean that you cannot improve your skill by training on each other.
The game has already nerfed the ability to improve your skills, which, by the way, increase VERY slowly.
Many newbies quit the game because the skill upgrade is so slow that it is almost unnoticeable.
And these two ... "geniuses" want to worsen this moment even more for what??
To amuse their own ego (if they cannot improve their skills this way) or ambitions??
Why ask the developers to destroy this opportunity?
People gather in squads, specially go to train in the safe zone, since the developers removed the ability to train on targets. but no, and here they are trying to ruin everything for them.
Why, what kind of insanity is this?
I'm not sure where you're getting this idea. The OP is literally asking about the setting on his private server. Nothing to do with officials or asking the devs for anything.
+1
Ok little vexed man who the one puffing off over nothing, you clearly have an ego yourself. NOBODY was stating anything or telling devs to destroy this except you jumping the gun and assuming. I was curious how the system works and no you are wrong, it ain't about taking the ability away from people leveling a skill.
Its also not training when you see a player making a friend AFK for hours so they can stand there punching the afk person, using archery and melee weapons on someone in a safe zone to skill up.
I would rather see it become a real 'skill' and people do that in events, fighting puppets or killing players. If you have a skill issue go join a server which has 5x skill or more.
