Vehicle Inventory Disappearing

This issue has been reported by many others. But when it happened to me twice within a few days last week, I noticed a pattern that might help finding a fix.

(I'm doing only single-player, and I'm currently only using the Laika)

When it happened to me, it always happened in the following sequence:
- vehicle full of loot (mostly in backpacks), driving from the POI I just looted to the traders (B4 outpost)
- parking in front of the armory and having my character leave the vehicle
- hitting TAB to show inventory, but vehicle doesn't show up in the vicinity
- all other interactions with the vehicle (entering, driving etc.) working fine
- quitting and re-starting the game
- vehicle now shows up in the vicinity, but inventory is completely empty

I haven't noticed anything unusual before the bug happened.
Afterwards, I spawned in some of the items I lost and continued the game without any further issues.

BTW, I've tried to post this as Bug Report on the SCUM support site, but couldn't create a ticket because "Image or Video" is set up as required field, and I don't have either.

Thanks for the report we are investigating that problem, do you meaby know what items were inside we think that some kind of item is causing this problem.

Unfortunately, it was too much loot to remember everything.
Mostly military stuff like weapons, ammo, clothing & armor.

I usually carry very similar loot in the vehicle on most loot runs, but like I mentioned this happened only twice to me yet.
The only difference being that I rarely carry cooking related items.
But if my mind serves me right, on these occasions I was carrying a small generator and the reddish 2-fire stove.

If you could indicate the items you're suspecting, I'd be happy to do some testing for you.

P.S.:
I forgot, I was also carrying tee, coffee and cacao.

Happened again just now, this time I was carrying that grill thingy.
I can't help but thinking that at least some of the cooking related items must be involved here.

Update:
I re-started the game from an earlier save before the bug happened.
From there I tried to re-create my earlier gameplay as closely as possible, the only difference being that I didn't pick up any of the new cooking related items.
I'm now beyond the point where the bug happened earlier, and no issue so far.

BTW, no inconvenience, but happy to help.
And my earlier offer still stands, name other items you suspect triggering this bug and I will do some testing.

(FYI, currently in the process of looting the Naval Base in A4)

+1 ON DISAPPEARING VEHICLE INVENTORY


what happened first was my vehicle couldnt be accessed at all, i could drive it still tho, but no inventory access---opening the vicinity panel i noticed the vehicle wasnt visible there. i tried entering and exiting vehcile, moving it a bit, but nothing changed so i logged out (which i discuss below).

what i believe caused this (since i havent taken the time to try and reproduce)---i had my vehicle inventory VERY full--then i crammed a bunch of stuff into 3 hiking backpacks and then put them in the vehicle. after returning from retrieving a motorcycle i noticed the vehicle couldnt be accessed so i relogged. when i logged back in the inventory was completely empty.

after reading a few of the previous comments i should note the "metal grill" was among the items in the inventory before it disappeared

proly takin a break until th next update---im a bit crushed from this lol---my M82 and all its ammo was in there aside from all th loot and bank card i lost.

Update 2:
Just finished looting the Naval Base in A4 and arrived back at my base.
Still avoiding to pick up any of the new cooking related items and still no issue so far.

As we suspected it seems that the issue occurs only with new cooking utilities, however we were still not able to pinpoint exact problem, so if any new details emerge, please feel free to post them :).

Can anyone that has lost their inventory go to the nearest trader or last general goods trader and check if their missing inventory ended up in the trader

I've my game set to unlimited stock at the traders, so I'm not sure how to check on this.

Anyhow, time permitting I'll do some more testing and will post any new findings.

I've spent some time looking into this issue and trying to find a way to reliably trigger the bug.
I've posted a video showing a summary of my findings at https://youtu.be/uIGiApgmTXk .
Interestingly, if any of the items I used is missing, or any of the actions I did is different (e.g. visiting a different trader), then the bug does most likely not happen.
It's not shown in the video, but after a restart of the game the vehicle inventory showed up empty as expected.

Have this issue been fixed? I just have this same issue happen to me in SP -latest version 0.9. Flipped my car while driving and sorting my car-inventory. Had to eject the car. After i had flipped the car over, the car dissapeared from vicinity(as stated above from the other posts). I relogged, and inventory was gone. I had 3 backpacks with stuff - mostly clothes, ammo, an AK47 and magazines. Also had gasoline cannisters, car and tire repairkits, carjacks and nightvision goggles laying loose in the car(saw that you asked for things in inventory at the time).

My Car loses ALL inventory each time I relog the game, I play singleplayer
