Archery is not leveling.

What the title says. I've been plucking away at puppets all day with bow and my archery has not leveled one bit.

Same here. I believe it is a problem with everything though. My rifle and other skills haven't leveled 1 bit. Been playing for hours. Sucks.

Might just be weapons. I noticed a few of the skills in other categories are leveling.

Could you please check for me if you have "allow skill gain in safe zones" setting turned off (Server Settings - General) and are in a safe zone, cause if so that is intended. Depending on a server and settings, an entire map might even be a safe zone.

It is turned off and has been. With the exception of a few minor tweaks, my Server Settings are largely default and I've made no changes in Custom Zones. I've traveled a good distance and haven't leveled archery at all.

It's worth mentioning that prior to this latest update, my archery was leveling fine even in areas I'm currently roaming. This issue started today and the only reason I took notice was that I deleted all my existing characters and started fresh.

I begin with melee cranked up and work on leveling archery soon as I hit the ground in that category.

Do you think it would be worth starting a fresh character and resetting all Server Settings to default to see what happens?

Seems to be working fine in my testings, killed 6 puppets and archery is steadily going up.
Perharps you could try it with new character and default server settings, see if that works.

Do you start with 0 skill in archery? When I did that I had to get some strenght up before it would start leveling up. But when i started with medium in both melee and archery it was fine.

No dice. Set all to default, deleted character, reloaded the game, killed some puppets, still at zero.

Nope. Con, Dex, and Int are all leveling normally. Absolutely not one thing under Str is leveling.

One other person commented here that's having the same problem as well as two friends I play Scum with.

Short of reinstalling the game, I've tried everything I can think of.

Edit: Melee has come up. Archery is still zero.

Okay. Cleared caches, deleted AppData files, uninstalled the game, reinstalled the game using all default settings.

Archery XP gain...zero.

I've done everything I can. It's up to you, devs, to sort this out. This is clearly an issue caused by the update as it didn't happen prior to yesterday. Maybe you can't repeat it, but it's happening nonetheless and needs fixed pronto. Bows are my weapons of choice against all but mechs and other players. This forces me to create my character with archery at max when I would otherwise split the points up.

Now I'll have a look at the other weapons to see if they level properly, but from what I've read, they don't.

I had this problem all day yesterday and I thought today's update would fix it but it didn't. I deleted everything and reinstalled the game and same thing happens. I had almost 8 hours straight with a new character and didn't notice till the end. I killed hundreds of puppets and even got an achievement for the bow kills and still had 0 skill. Big mood killer. Hope someone finds a fix!

Same here. Got an achievement in the process.

Updates like this can sure take the wind right outta my sails for playing a game. I hope they figure it out...two of my friends are having the same issue along with a few others.

I checked now in a new single-player game, the standard characteristics (all 3), I pumped only melee weapons in strength, after that I played. Pistol shooting and bows were not pumped, the rest of the skills are fine (but rifles were slowly pumped 10 points for killing a puppet, has it always been like this?)
