Compound Bow Draw weight and Advanced skill.

I was in a bunker doing some looting with a 70# compound bow. (could draw NP) had two puppets to kill killed the one in front and got my advanced Archery notification for skill lvl. Went to draw on the second puppet and could no longer draw my bow.

Went back to base where i had a 65# compound bow and could draw NP. My squad mate had another compound (set to 60#) could draw NP. Got a toolkit and adjusted draw weight and it set the draw to 70# and I could no longer draw. Since that day i have actually gained .1 str and still cant draw.

What are your current core attributes and archery skill ?

well as mentioned in my OP this happened when I got Advanced skill. and Str is 2.7 lowest attribute. Not that that should matter cause this happened when i got skill increase and as mentioned I could Draw the bow at 70# before i got the skill notification. So unless Skill advancement drops your attributes it should not matter.

Currently Str 27,Con 3.2,Dex4.9,int 5.0

At the time of this happening I was actually at 26 str and i have gained .1 since this happened and still cant draw. I've tried Re-calibrating another(3rd bow) I had and again it set the draw weight to 70#.

Edit: I can draw a 65# without issue.

You should be able to do it when your strength hits 3.0

There's a bug that happens when strength is between 2.6 and 3.0 but it is infrequent

Yeh i get that but its obviously still a bug i felt i should report. Going from using a bow to not being able to caused by skill advancement shouldn't happen.

I got the same problem. regardless of my strength if I adjust the draw weight I should be able to pull it back. after reaching advanced archery I can no longer pull the compound bow even after adjusting

The only options you have are find a Compound under 70 (Trader bought are set to 60 by default) or train your Strength up to 3.0 i carried a log in a BP and one on my shoulder and just ran around in circles to get my str up. Keep in mind stats round up so you only need to get to 2.95 and you will be gtg. once you trigger the change even if you go below due to malnutrition or something you will still able to draw the 70#

well that sucks. The purpose of a compound bow is that it is adjustable, so regardless of your strength i should be able to adjust it. i was able to adjust it before i hit advanced archery, now i cant....

Unfortunately its a bug and they are looking into it. its not intended for it to work that way. The compound bows are cheap at trader like 1500-3000 depending on skin. Go to an airfield and get 1-2 plane repair kits and your good to buy one.
