no cars in solo play

so i waited days to post this i have been through the entire map an no cars are spawning in solo play i went to usual spawns where i would find cars it seems the hotfix broke car spawns

Cant buy them in traders either been to all the traders

Came to say I have the same problem. I wonder if it have to do with the fact you need 400 fame points to buy vehicles? So maybe they don't spawn until you have 400FP.

I think you're right, cars do not seem to be spawning in solo play since the last hotfix. It could be that I've been incredibly unlucky, but I've been everywhere and either sold or destroyed any WW I've found kicking around (though they don't seem to despawn even after two hours unless you push them into water). Finally, I decided to use console commands to check the map for vehicles and nothing new has spawned anywhere and there's only twenty vehicles on the map (all boats). I can, however, buy one at the trader, but it defeats the purpose of the fun of finding one and getting it running, installing doors, etc.

They do spawn but often enough not at the usual places but nearby. Also it seems they take some time to spawn, so you can pass a spawner and when you come back you'll find a car.
Edit: if you want to be sure, enter drone mode and fly around.
Edit2: Takes them 30 minutes to spawn, same time as loot respawn.

I tried flying around in drone mode for awhile as you suggested, then checked again to see if any vehicles spawned. No dice. I'm pretty sure something has broken vehicle spawning for me anyway. My theory is that having a couple destroyed WW that are not despawning after two hours (as is supposed to happen per a dev) is breaking spawner logic.

HI! im not entirely sure what causes this problem, but on your local files, you can actually modify and set the car spawn to maximum. if you're playing solo as in SP then you can also spawn it in if you'd like. Traders will typically have almost nothing or very few items on stock because of the economy of SP. you have to buy and sell from traders so they will be able to stock more items for you on your next visit. this applies to all of the traders, so mechanics might have no cars and/or parts to sell, the armory might not have certain guns and will usually only have a few ammunition to sell aswell.

Solo play works normally for me, there could be a connection if you are using an old save file from the previous game version, can you try to start a new SP and see if you will find any cars.

You can watch the map for them as you are moving with

Solo play works normally for me, there could be a connection if you are using an old save file from the previous game version, can you try to start a new SP and see if you will find any cars.

You can watch the map for them as you are moving with

For me car spawning has stopped entirely after Laika was released. I played for at least 10 hours and Laika never spawned. I started using #ShowVehicleInfo to monitor and using drone mode to trigger spawning areas with no results (nothing new is spawning), so I still suspect something has broken. Not sure if it's related, but destroyed cars are not despawning properly, either. I did roll back a save to to see if it would fix the problem, but that shouldn't have caused the problem since it was already an issue (though maybe that could cause a similar problem). In any case, it is single player and I can just buy or spawn in the Laika. Since OP reported this, it could be just a rare issue for few people.

Sounds like it's rare. Since it's SP, have you thought about another character to see if this happens again? Could be an issue with this specific save.

SP save files can get corrupted, if it works normally in new SP then the problem would be with the save file itself.

I removed my save file and started a new character. Boats are spawning, but haven't seen a car yet, but I'll give it a couple more hours. If it's still a problem I'll report back. Thanks.

OK, I deleted the server settings and let it rebuild, and that seems to have resolved the problem as cars are spawning again. If the OP or anyone else is still having the problem give that a try.
