Check your registry for outdated or corrupt entries. This is where a tool like Ccleaner can help you a lot. (Also there are other programms aviable helping with this task. :)

You can also try to check the windows installation. This is done with the following steps:

  • Press Windows key and type cmd
  • Right-click on 'Command Prompt' and choose 'Run as Administrator'. A command prompt window appears
  • Type sfc /scannow and hit Enter key
  • Let the SFC scan to finish (It will automatically detect corrupt system files and will replace them with new ones from the cache)

Try after the Repair functions to verify your game files to see if there is maybe something corrupt left.

Can you tell me when that started happening with the fatal error? Did you overclock your graphic card?
Dutch Dec 28, 2022 @ 12:30am
hi no i did not overclock it but i think i have found the issue, i have installed GPU-Z and found that my card temp is 70-73°C but the hot spot on it was 106°C. since then i have added a fan and dropped it from 2K to 1080 and the hot spot came down to 90°C and i haven't had a crash yet. so looks like i am up for some new thermal pads and paste by the looks of it. thank you for the assistance. i think i fixed some issues i did not even know i had.
